It is because of their creation of an ecosystem. Anybody who wishes to make it in humanities from any top college of India must pay their obeisance to them. Else u will be singled out and won't be able to succeed much. If u spread their views ull become one of their acolytes and thru their contacts u can further ur career. Ull get opportunities to succeed and become famous.

The Vedas, The Upanishad’s, the Vedic culture, the Rishis Ashramas, the Gurukul system of teaching, intentionally ignored in the history books of our school curriculum. Indian history needs to be re-written. Sufficient evidences and material that is thousands of years old of our rich history and culture, is spread all over the country that needs to be recollected and analysed to re- right the true Indian history.

You should read Raja Ram Mohan Roy’s letter to the Asiatic society arguing against the Gurukal system and in favour of a Western education. I think we went a little too Western but we cannot deny the benefits of learning from others and we should always endeavor to do so in the future. This romanticized view of the past is what has taken Pakistan down the toilet. The Muslims suffered because they insisted on sticking to the madrassah system. The rest is history.

Whatever she has done let it be forgotten. My point is why don't we rewrite our history once again with critical thinking and empirical evidences. The same shit is being taught in schools, colleges. The children are still reading wrong history. We are in power for 9 years now.

Excellent speech. I only thought him to be an defence expert but he has superb grasp on Indian history and power politics. And the way he delivers it has a force of authority and conviction. Every Indian must awaken to the reality and consequences of a doctored Indian history.

The question we should be asking is why in the past 9 years no action has been taken on this front. Unless you remove Article 30 of the constitution we will never be a truly secular country where all religions are treated equally. The current situation is conducive to propagate the views of people like the Thapars. No religion should be allowed to run educational institutions....no madrasas, no St. Stephen's etc.

In sankalp, we say Bharath Varshey Bharath Kandey. When invoking rivers, we refer to all the rivers Ganges, Yamuna,, Narmadha, Sindhu, Kaveri. In Mahabharata, Arjuna supposed to have taken bath in all these rivers including perinnial Tamirabharani in southernmost India.

I had some elder relatives in the INA led by Netaji who were never inducted into the Indian Army after we attained independence. They lived a life of indignity and pittance as the then ruling political party branded them as antisocials who in the name of INA created disharmony in the society. The British massacred INA POWs in thousands in an area called Neelgunge, near Belghoria in the suburbs of Kolkata which none mentions. There are similar brutal incidents that happened in Budge Budge, near Kolkata during the Naval rebellion.

History is not likely to be ever recorded absolutely objectively. In spite of great intellectual honesty a certain amount of authors' bias is bound to creep in. History can never be completely comprehensive too. It will contain more records that align with authors bias. But one thing is for sure, this bias is likely to more pronounced in the historians who champion the cause of those who did not participate in India's freedom struggle. I think that should be quite obivious.
