I work at a record store. The owner Jon told me that the memorial slip on the album cover is that of Christopher Werner, his cousin. He didn't know someone put the picture on the cover until someone told him. It's a beautiful way to immortalize Christopher.

Been following these guys for a couple years, can't wait to see them live some day

This was the type of album where I wasn't sure about it in the first couple of minutes but as I gave the album a chance I began to notice the brilliance. Once you dig deeper you realize why this is good and it begins to sound like a work of art. I've noticed a pattern in amazing albums being incredibly weird at first, I think that's what it takes to be this good. This was an (8.7 - 9.4/10) I also really like how the album's meaning about feeling constrained by society and unable to be different in a progressive punk album is ironic considering how a community that is extremely conservative of an old progressive culture is awesome. Fantano is correct, this is PUNK ROCK!

Reviewing this right after mainstream sellout is one of the most evil things you’ve ever done

Been listening to this since its release and with the amount of listens I’ve already given it, it’s definitely AOTY so far for me. They deserve the love and I hope I get to see them live someday! UPDATE: Saw them live this past Friday in Cupertino and I ALREADY can't fucking wait to see them live again! Truly an unforgettable experience!

Played a house show with these cats years ago, even back then I knew they were gonna do great things. See them live if you can, it’s incredible.

I met these guys on a cruise ship and they quickly became my fav band!!!

I’m really glad we had this back to back reviews on two different sides of Punk

Ever since I heard Jump or Get Jumped (through a Pitchfork best new track weirdly enough) I’ve been yearning for this album

Fantanothy love your content and this stuff looks great, excited to explore. Idk if you've ever heard of midori but maybe it will be interesting to you?

Soul Glo has had me more excited about hardcore than I have been in a very, very long time.

This was the one album I was looking forward to the most and I would personally give it a 10. No punk band has felt this refreshing in a long time. AOTY

Its cool how after a couple of listens you can start hearing more and more of the lyrics. I like albums that reward you for multiple listens.

I honestly wasn’t expecting this album to slap as hard as it does.

Saw them live yesterday here in London. My god, one of my favorite gigs ever. The moshing, the energy from the band, everything was perfect

This has been my favorite band since early 2020 and I’m so happy to see them getting the attention and praise they deserve!

I saw them play live last October on the Coheed Cruise. Their energy was so incredible. At one point the singer was lying face down on the stage screaming "Back on my bullshit". the cruise did not allow moshing so I cant wait until I can see them again to get into the pit.

I’m dead serious when I say on my first listen, the bands Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Brains and Blood Brothers all came my mind! I also got some Number 12 looks like you

I’m surprised you reviewed this album and even more surprised that it’s a yellow flannel review. I just listened to it today and didn’t enjoy it, but I guess I’ll have to give it another try.

Wow 2 9/10 reviews and when this video was put out we were only 3 months into the year 🤯🤯 that's crazy but yeah another awesome review Anthony I didn't even know this band existed till I listened to some of there music that you shouted put on the weekly track round ups and I'm glad that I did because this was a totally awesome album where everybody in the band was giving it a 110% and you can tell also it was my first punk album and if there's more artist like this I am going to have to check them put for sure 😝

more people need to listen to this album and pay attention to what the man's saying. i just hope they have the lyrics handy because he's impossible to understand otherwise.

This is so ill. The totally dynamic way rock and hip hop have intertwined in the last decade has been maybe the most interesting musical “movement” that I have experienced.

Decent 8. Now this is what I'm talking about. There's more variance and vocabulary in this release than the Spy/Maniac one, and that really let me get into the spirit of the piece. Good shit.

I’ve never heard of this band until now but I actually mainly like punk music or punk leaning alt rock and I’d say this record/band is getting a lot of praise in online circles I’m in right now. I’d say my favorite bands right now are Creeper, The Menzingers, The Dirty Nil, The Interrupters, Spanish Love Songs. Does this live in a Menzingers world at all? This band are set to be supporting My Chemical Romance, correct? When Anthony references screamo vocals is it like Static Dress at all? Hardcore or experimental in the sense of Culture Abuse, Angel Dust? or, I like but don’t love Turnstile, I respect but don’t usually really love Code Orange?.

I don't know but like two of the bands that you mention but the vocals remind me of Refused. They will be opening for MCR, I like them but I don't know how they will manage to match this band's energy

I cant say any of the bands you mentioned are in the HC genre, so no not really. And ill be honest, its a little weird that they're touring with MCR. Not saying you cant be fans of both, but Im not sure theyre energies will mix very well Those are good bands btw, just that theyre all a mix of more traditional punk, heavier hard rock, ska punk and alternative Also yeah, Soul Glo closer to Turnstile and Code Orange, but those are closer to HC as well so 🤷‍♂

Hey melon! You should check out argentinian musician Marilina Bertoldi's newest record "Mojigata". It's basically a lesbian rock-dancy-ballad-experimental therapeutic album. It's short, give it a try.
