not exactly true. They just claim the video and make ad revenue off the editors work. My AMVs are usually autoclaimed within 30 seconds of being posted. They leave it up as long as the editor doesnt claim the song as their own. You see at the bottom of the description the fancy song labeling, thats copywrite claim at work.

When you think about it, you can actually thank it's art style. Soul Eater's animation wasn't actually ahead of it's time. At the time, the "Weird Gothic, but 80s" style wasn't in anime, so it stands out. Then, combine it with Soul Eater's simplistic, but stylish, art and you have a good recipe for easy, but impressive, animation.

This is one of the best amvs I've ever seen.

One of my first

I really thought this AMV was very well put together. It especially liked the special effects and the sync and flow of the music to the action in the clips.

The nostalgia hits like a BADASS! It was this AMV that got me watching Soul Eater, and it was glorious!

It's awesome when you still play NSF 2002 still and this just makes it even better.

this is how an AMV should look like. fitting music, clips that shows what the anime is all about, and perfect timing. excellent job.

its been 10 years, I just thinking about that makes me consider and overthink in a lot of things. When I saw this video for the very first time I was 15 and now with 25 I still love it so much!

"Devils never cry" is the ending song, I think. (found it from hellsing AMVs, it starts at about 1:00 or so)
