This was my favorite Raphael Design wise and playability. Before he was a weird vampire.

I think him becoming a vampire was fine, but his actual outfits and voice weren't as cool.

@@ArvelDreth It’s funny in a sense, I didn’t like his vampire phase. I don’t like how they turned him to a cool, cocky swordsman to a deranged warlord

@@CGrey_6048 I don't know where you're getting the idea that he's a warlord. He's still a cool and cocky swordsman, his character has always been defined by his desire to provide for Amy, and that didn't change in Soul Calibur 4. In 5, he's not a warlord. If you play the story mode, that guy Patrokolos is working for who looks and sounds like Raphael is an imposter.

@@CGrey_6048 I always thought he was a serious character. His backstory was set up from the 2nd game and he always had a tragic past so I've never seen him as anything but a disgraced lord trying to claw his way back up. The fact that his blood became tainted by Soul Edge after fighting Nightmare always came off as a great twist to me, though of course the execution wasn't perfect.

Is it just me or SC2’s gameplay is more smoother than 6?

It has the fastest stepping speed of any of the games in the series, along with simpler combos (mostly), and no moves that trigger cutscenes. Those things combined make it the smoothest and most fair-feeling of the Soul Calibur games.

You have to keep moving with Raphael

Ain't fair, in the medium or hard or extremely hard level destined battle characters for Raphael are: Nightmare for easy level Link from Zelda for medium level Spawn for hard level and Heihachi for extremely hard level.

Who ever is fighting with Raphael don’t know how to fight him. Raphael has little combos and your timings have to be on q.

Even so... He is a hard fighter to use, next to the likes of Cassandra and Talim. Yet, in the right hands... He is a monster, with some of his moveset having built in parries.
