This brings back memories....me and my mate, absolutely stoned of our boxes playing until the early hours. It was the one game we were both amazing at, and knewalmost every special move. Our team battles were epics and watching this I can remember exactly how to counter all the various moves and do the roll aways, grabs and secret combinations!! im 50 now!!

Li Long was the first character I ever played as, back when I first got the game on my birthday in 1998. Mitsurugi was always my personal favourite, though. :)

Edge Master mode is sort of like the story mode/campaign for each of the characters, where you unlock better weapons along the way. I chose the Falcon here as it's Li Long's default weapon and so makes it a bit more challenging as I face opponents with special weapons along the way.

Until Namco replaced him with Maxi. I don't hate Maxi, but Maxi jist does not have the aura like Li Long had.

@@KareemHillJr Very fast and agile. a beginner's dream. Didn't they effectively replace him with Maxi, who was almost like a clone copy of Li Long in terms of fighting stile ? I think Maxi was in Soul Calibur 1 but I remember getting that game and although Li Long wasn't my favourite character (Heishiro Mitsurugi is), I was disappointed he wasn't in it.

Li Long had the best throws in the game; that neck slit and brainbuster ddt!!

Epic soundtrack and amazing game mechanics for its time. I actually liked this more than Tekken. I still have my original game of Soul Blade.

My dad brought those game home when I was only 4 years old. This is one of the best fighting games ever imo

This was a very underrated game. I remember I got it back in the day. It was an off-handed purchase my mom(I think) got for me. Ended up really enjoying the game. This game didn't get enough shine because of Tekken, but still a really good game.

I never knew about this ending until years later. I was mad all that time thinking damn why did they do my boy Long like that? All that fighting just to die. But he's still my #1 choice

Li Long is a class act and I believe the first character I ever played as, but Mitsurugi will always be my go-to. If there was a Tag Team mode like in a few of the later Tekken games, then I'd definitely pick Li Long as my partner lol

Looks better than last solul calibur on ps4. Its looks more "real" without this anime Flash, magic Bang etc

@@shokmusic_AC Fight content for sure, might re-do Edge Master mode or Arcade again. Posting the OST could lead to my account suspended/deleted due to copyright, but I don't know. I don't really do it for views, but it's nice to see some of the videos I do put up are appreciated.

You're anticipating them getting back up with an attack, such as with Siegfried at 5:58 so you jump in the air to avoid that attack which they will almost always do, especially on this difficulty and at the higher stages. While in the air, you perform the aerial attack which has a very high chance of being successful, putting them back on the ground and allowing you to quickly get some more moves in as I did in this example.
