At $500, is the value proposition that it's "premium"? This needs consideration, especially when comparing it to the $200 alternatives featuring the same size and screen resolution.

I'll agree, it's definitely an investment. The overall premium quality isn't just in the size and resolution, though. I know they are a new company, and perhaps with this 'limited edition', they are trying to build a foundation to invest in their future, which I hope is true. I'm seriously impressed with it and hope they continue to release new products and are able to reduce prices in the future as they ramp up production.
