[Soshisha] Visiting the history of Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture [Shoyou Tsubouchi]

I visited Soushisha in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
This is the place where the literary great Shoyou Tsubouchi, known for translating and publishing the complete works of Shakespeare, spent his final years. The exterior of the bookstore has a distinctive appearance that resembles a combination of temples from around the world. Taisho glass is used for the windows, and the distortion subtly changes the reflection of light, making it very interesting. Taisho glass is also available at Kiunkaku, which will be introduced in the following video.
You can see them here in Soshisha. Please stop by when you come to Atami.

The house is very beautiful, but it is the typical architecture of your country that has beautiful characteristics. I didn't know the information about Taisho glass, I find it interesting and will look online more information about it. Thanks for this video

Taisho-era window glass, produced between 1912 and 1926, is characterized by its distortion. This distortion, a result of the hand-blown glass technique, adds warmth and dynamism to spaces by altering the passage of light.
