Ukraine broke the general impetus of the RU invasion before the West sent a single heavy weapon, over 2 years ago. And Russia suffered half a million casualties & lost half the land it took in 2022, since. They've recently been making small advances again, but pathetic ones in light of Ukraine not even having had the prior measly US aid, for the past say 7 months.

There was a lot of coping. I still remember someone talking about what a game changer Western tanks would be, pointing out how superior their armor and technology is. I simply asked what tank can survive an artillery strike. It's almost like he didn't know that tank armor only really protects against small arms fire, and the battle is being conducted mostly with artillery and drone strikes.

  • @lovepeace9727

    12 күн бұрын

@@muslimcel4581 rise of somewhat unified-ish "russian civilization" started only when an independent city of Novgorod (big city on territory of modern Russia) *invaded and occupied* an independent city of Kyiv (capital of modern Ukraine) and by killing Kyiv's army and rulers, russians from Novgorod effectively merged lands, armies and economies of two big cities, created borders out of surrounding areas and so on, then those rulers from Novgorod and their army, created a residence in their new occupied land, right inside of Kyiv and started to give orders to all of their lands from there. "Kievian Rus" was born not because of "ukrainian" Kiev's influence over "dirty undeveloped russians" (as ukrainians like to portray nowdays lmao), but because of "russian" Novgorod that actually captured "ukrainian" Kyiv and made it "russian" by moving in it with their laws, army and people. If anything, for russian civilization, russians should say thanks not to ukrainians, but to viking friends who came to Novgorod and simply teached locals how to build fleet and kick ass.

THIS IS A PROXY WAR, using UKRAINE AS THE STEPPING STONE TO CRUSH RUSSIA, an American dream since the cold war of the 40's. Because Russia has vast resources to steal. That's not true. And, as someone who has lived in Poland, Latvia and Lithuania (three countries invaded by Russia in the XXth Century), let me add that a nuclear superpower like Russia isn't afraid at all of being invaded by NATO. If Russia doesn't like NATO is because when one European country joins NATO seeking for protection, they can't invaded it anymore. Honest question: Have you heard of the Russian concept of "blizhnee zarubezhe"? Have you been paying attention to Putin's words for 20 years saying that Ukraine shouldn't exist without Russian control? Here is a short list of Russia's invasions in the XXth Century: · Poland 1939 (split the country in half with Germany) · Finland 1939 (gained some territories) · Estonia 1940 (annexation of the whole country) · Lithuania 1940 (annexation of the whole country) · Latvia 1940 (annexation of the whole country) · Hungary 1956 (Puppet president set) · Czechoslovakia 1968 (put an end to the Prague Spring) · Afghanistan 1979 (they lost in 1989) · Moldova 1990 · Georgia 2008 · Ukraine 2014 (annexation of Crimea) · Ukraine 2022

Btw, your version of the interview with Davyd Arakhamia is highly edited. Here is a longer version: 'They (Russia) actually hoped until nearly the last moment that they could press us into signing this agreement, adopting neutrality. That was their biggest priority. They were willing to end the war if we took on neutrality, like Finland once did, and gave assurances that we wouldn’t join NATO. That was essentially the main point. Everything else was cosmetic and political embellishments about ‘denazification,’ the Russian-speaking population, blah blah blah”, Arakhamia said. When asked why Ukraine did not agree to this point, Arakhamia replied that there was no confidence in the Russians, because they were ready to promise anything. "First, in order to agree to this point, it is necessary to change the Constitution. Our path to NATO is written in the Constitution. Secondly, there was no confidence in the Russians that they would do it. This could only be done if there were security guarantees. We could not sign something, step away, everyone would relax there, and then they would [invade] even more prepared - because they have, in fact, gone in unprepared for such a resistance. Therefore, we could only explore this route when there is absolute certainty that this will not happen again. There is no such certainty. Moreover, when we returned from Istanbul, Boris Johnson came to Kyiv and said that we would not sign anything with them at all, and let's just fight.'

@@nobody6794 Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time. Russia's national security was compromised once nato began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021. Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO. NATO is not a defensive alliance. Nato illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest. Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland. Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”. Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it. Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country. Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list. Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list. There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence). The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) RIP. The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims). The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter. I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion. I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written. Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

Also Ukraine made it constitutionally law that no negotiations will be made until Putin is removed from power. The media is sure good with their propaganda. I never thought that Ukraine could win.. I think these people are delusional. What they’re trying to convince us of is insane.. So let’s get this straight. Putin is going to let Ukraine embarrass him and Russia on the world stage. Just on common sense, I don’t see that happening. Do you know what bothers me that people don’t understand that it doesn’t have to be some Hiroshima Nagasaki type bomb. They’re very small now and can be put in artillery shells. Just a small little nuke will change everything and we have a bunch of politicians poking the bear in the eye over and over and over. I remember reading about the Cuban missile crisis, and how all the generals are giving their president advice about going to war don’t let them do this Mr. President. JFK had to go behind the back of everyone to get a deal so the world wouldn’t glow. No one seems to be thinking about the consequences anymore.

I'm sorry but that statement is dream land. When has God, any God, any one of the hundreds of gods ever come into the affairs of humans to fight corruption? Humans need to fix this, if we don't no God is going to come along and smite the wicked and save the good. It's a metaphor at best, I'll accept it as the goodness inherent in most humans on the whole that may solve this thing but relying on a God as the "only" thing to stop this is a childs dream. Incredibly disappointed to hear Russell spout such nonsense.

What did they achieve? Untold millions dead. No human being knows the means or the end. We all have a hole inside of us that is our propensity towards evil. No human being or group of humans will ever figure "this" out. Jesus Christ is alive. He rose from the dead. He is the only One Who can figure "this" out.

@@sweeneytodd011 Well, to be fair, the Bible is full of instances when God has intervened (after sending multiple warnings usually) to smite the corrupt. If you start from the position that this is only superstition and coincidence you won't be able to conduct an objective analysis of it, of course, because you'll be begging the question right away. It's difficult for a rational mind with preconceptions to get around, I think: we want to know the truth but maybe can't see it because some solutions are ruled out right from the start. For a rational approach I would recommend thinking about questions on a more scientific level that point to something beyond materialism as being behind the Universe, questions like, how did the Universe get here from nothing? Why is it fine-tuned when even the multiverse theory doesn't explain the fine-tuning as intended because whatever mechanism we've thought of to make those universes would need to be fine-tuned too, or it couldn't generate a universe like ours? Why is there digital information in living cells, when Natural Selection as currently conceived can't generate such information but can only apply minor variations to existing information? From questions like these we begin to see that there must be something beyond the tiny bit of reality that our senses can perceive. So... what might that be? How might it communicate with us if it is that sort of thing?
