    Ironic how before John was boss, that was his total ambition. Took him becoming a boss, going to jail, and getting cancer to realize what a "thankless job" it is.

    Johnny regretted being boss. Tony regretted being in the mafia. All of John's regrets are his actions as boss. Tony has nightmares about murdering his friends and driving his other friends to suicide. One had a toxic work life. And the other had a fully toxic life.

    Oj did eventually admit he killed those 2, after the statues of limitations ran out. It was on a radio show. Which proves my point, justice in America is purchased. I know because I've been not guilty and been on the receiving end without enough $$ to pay an atty and public pretenders are nothing more than a second prosecutor. They take you to the noose and convince you putting it on your head is a good idea.

    Funny thing is Johnny Sack allocuted in order to get a deal where he would receive a shorter sentence, but it cost him his reputation which we can see here clearly matters to him. Then he gets terminal lung cancer end's up dying long before he'd ever leave jail anyways. In essence he sacrificed his reputation for nothing.

  • @Howard.Stern.

    @Howard.Stern.

    5 жыл бұрын

    If he didn't take the deal she would have been broke dead. The deal allows Johnny to keep the money from the New Orleans sale, the money from his house sale, the money from his wedding boosts which easily could be over $500K with guys paying their last tributes to the boss. Plus his wife's retirement is kept in tact without being seized. She moved into a home with her daughter which was likely a guest home next to a larger home. Carmela always goes into hysterics over money. Johnny and Ginny never mention money at all so she was likely taken care of. She cried over losing the house because of the memories and the idea that she'd never spend another day with her husband again. Don't forget, only two wives on the show ever loved their husbands. Karen loved Bobby. And Ginny loved John. She wasn't crying over money she was crying over missing her husband. We she the same with Angie. Tony takes care of her by paying her out of pocket AND hooking her and her brother up with a major business. Yet Carmela freaks out that she'll "end up like Angie" and then ends up hating Angie for running a business anyways. Carmela was just a hysteric. She rubs her Porsche in Ginny's face and Angie's face because she's a loser.

    His picture was still hanging in the restaraunt with the other bosses and Billy Leotardo. The guys initially threw off on him for allocating but ultimately that didnt ruin 30 or 40 years of history. Everybody knew why he did it and admitting that he had been in the mob is ridiculous on the goverments part, like throwing tomatoes at him. It serves no purpose except to humiliate him because of mafia code, everybody knows there is a mafia and that Johnny Sack was in it It wasnt a revelation. People were mad at John Gotti for being so flashy and loving the spotlight which ultimately hurt him and many others but he did 10 years mostly in isolation at Marion trying to break him so he would flip. But he didnt, he never named names or cooperated which ultimately tempers alot of the criticism and hatred. Johnny was the same way, initial criticism tempered by history and him not flipping. They were missing John when Phil took over thats for sure.

    John really deserved to be a boss, he was a very respectable man who genuinely loved his wife and family and of course he was mad when Little Carmine got in his way. Tony on the other hand is a monster on the inside and is the boss by following his dad, this is the first time I'm realizing the tragic end for John because ironically the most professional guy was the one who ended up with some of the worst luck and he just had to die knowing he failed his family and his goal.

Carmella is the one who pointed out that he is jewish and therefore couldn't understand her Catholic pressure to remain married to a man who does horrible things. Dr. Melfi? She was a clueless as Carmella on "enabling" Tony and Elliot called her out on it.

    He was a wonderful husband and father...the best family man on the show. He was an awesome under bosss, but shakey as the Boss. However, he was way better the Phil. However, his reign laid the groundwork’s for the war with Soppranos. Carmine Sr. And Jackie Aprile were the best bosses. Toney was a natural boss, but his emotional instability and steady killing off of his own crew, made him not as good a boss as Carmine and Jackie. However, a lot of Toney instability during his reigned began to snowball after the death of Carmine, and Johnnie Sack becoming the Boss and then Phil...War was sort of inevitable when Phil became the boss...Johnnie Sack - Great husband and Dad, effective Under Boss..ok, but unstable Boss...

    Be remembered as an illegitimate boss who died on his back. Us Vikings, we die on our feet, face to the enemy weapon in hand, only way to Valhalla, or the valkyries take you to heilheim, they tear you to pieces and you freeze for eternity, in pieces, but Valhalla, you drink, feast, fuck, and fight to the death every day then are reborn and get to do it all again. Until ragnorok, the Christians refer to it as armageddon, doomsday, the final battle. Where we storm out of the gates of midgarrd shoulder to shoulder with the gods, and die fighting fenrir and when the last of us has fallen fenrir devours not just the world but reality itself. But we die with honor. Side by side with Odin, Thor, Frey, Freya, Baldor, Loki and the valkyries all in a glorious final battle. It doesn't matter if sometimes you loose the fight, it's that you stood and fought. Ragnorok.
