I had a scene in my head before I got to it in the book. I thought wind, blowing both their hair free, the identical color mingling, his and hers. Then her saying simply "My name is Brianna." He'd know exactly who she was, then and there. Just like when Claire first came back and saw Jamie in the shop. She didn't need to give her name. Just "It's not Geordie. It's me." was enough. more words was just cluttering it all up. But heaven forbid they should ask ME to write this thing!!! LOL

Simplemente grandioso‼️👏🏼👏🏻👏🏽

Am I the only one who thinks Brianna and Jamie’s relationship is a bit lukewarm? I mean, she seemed to like him before the whole Roger debacle, and she forgave him when they got Roger back. But after that they just seem so distant. I would have thought they’d get closer with time…

@@wildwaning9427 yeah…and I love Outlander but it really did take a nosedive in quality after season two imo. I would have liked to see more warmth between the old characters and the newer ones. It would have made their performances more impactful because I don’t see much improvement to the story with the additions of Bri and Roger. Quite the opposite. They’re pretty boring tbh especially Bri. It’s very strange to me to see her being so distant towards the (arguably) most loved character of the show, especially when that character also happens to be her father. I NEED their relationship to grow. I feel like I’m just sticking with the series because those first two seasons were so damn good. I seriously can’t forget about how they made me feel 😭😭😭

Then I clicked on a promo vid one day where she actually stated that's how she learned/practiced her accent was by watching episodes of Friends!!😱 I fell to the floor in disbelief. True Outlander fans would beg to differ on this commentary…. if you are really reading to UNDERSTAND the characters (along with the story and place and time of the events), you will know Jamie’s anger in that scene came from a place of love for Claire, NOT possession. He would have died to save her! And that is not an understatement! Understanding historic context, marriage also meant being granted name (belongingness as one family), provision and protection, etc. One of the reasons it was instituted for, NOT ownership (ownership as owning property like land, cattle, etc). Corrupt men does not represent all men! Not everything has to be “toxic masculinity”. Feminism does always not need to equate to rage. They were in time of war! DUHHH! Uhm, Remember what Jack Randall almost did to Claire the first time they met in the woods when she magically appeared back in time? That was like only 5 seconds ago, hellooo. Those were dangerous times! Jamie was scared sh*t out of his wits because HE DOES NOT WANT ANYTHING TO HAPPEN TO CLAIRE! BECAUSE HE. LOVES. HER.! Claire being Claire spoke her mind, she wouldn’t condone being spoken to that way. More power to you Claire! I love that you are strong, skilled, intelligent, and you stand up for yourself! In other scenarios, you go girl! BUT in this situation Jamie had every right to be angry because THEIR LIVES WERE ON THE LINE. Not just the two of them, but ALL OF HIS CREW! And wow what a shot for the moon they made it out that enemy stronghold like Fort Knox or Fort George or whatever, with no ammo no nothing! I do not get WHY this video/ reaction just HAD TO CUT OUT the last of Jamie’s lines in this scene which was SO KEY, you’ll know if you’ve seen the show or read the books. It’s one of the quoted lines in Outlander book 1 - you can Google it. The difference between Jamie and Claire, they CAN argue and contend with each other to hash out and process their differences. THEN they CAN ALSO humble themselves. BOTH asked for forgiveness and forgave each other! They BOTH respect each other. How can one sided respect be justified? How can you love and help each other grow when you are so adversarial? I love how Diana Gabaldon wrote both Jamie and Claire, they both can assert themselves and speak their mind to each other, they can disagree and argue, but they are on the SAME team, they are FOR EACH OTHER AT THE END OF THE DAY. THAT’S WHY WE HAVE OLD JAMIE AND CLAIRE STILL ROCKING IT TOGETHER IT THEIR 60’s and beyond!
