Hi Sophie, thank you very much for the video! One question I have, and I apologize if you've covered this in another video, but is it possible to mix enamel paints together on a pallet to customize the colors and then paint with them in a method similar to Alla Prima in oil painting? I can imagine you may have trouble with the paint lifting off the glass as you work over areas but perhaps there are ways around that? Thanks!

You need to be careful about firing compatibility. I'd say you can probably mix most enamels but you should do a test firing to check.

Tabasco! Is that neat or mixed with water? Might have to try that someday.

Hi thank you so much for this. Where do you get materials for lead paint? Or could you do a video on materials?

I get my materials from Reading Stained Glass. The make of paint I use is Reusche.

@@mgp_art well I'm no expert really. I started off with what they call a hobby kiln which was about £300 with a shelf 30 X 30 cm.

I was under the impression that the lines should be thick for the paint to stick to the glass but I see your lines are very fine and use a very diluted mix?

Lines can be of any weight. It's more of an aesthetic decision than a technical one.

So, you don't need to kiln that paint? what kind of paint is that?? I've been looking for some painting that can be cured in an oven since I don't have a kiln

This paint needs firing. Try Vitrail for oven paint.

@@SophiesStainedGlass I was wondering wether the same painting techniques can be applied to vitrail painting and if the final result will mimic that of this powder paint?? is it possible to stratch off the paint as with the reusche paints/gum arabic?
