The New Zealand Avalanche Advisory (NZAA) supports backcountry participants such as mountaineers, climbers, skiers and snowboarders, and alpine trampers and hunters, in avalanche risk areas in New Zealand. The NZAA provides an avalanche forecasting system in thirteen key locations across the country during the relevant avalanche seasons.
