Soobin put his whole soul into this cover, all the feelings he felt while listening to this song, that’s why it looks so divine.

and everytime i come back, i always feel awe whenever i hear soobin's soft vocals in his forest cover. there something about relaxing and feeling awe in his cover

What you quoted Soobin was something he said years ago and I hope you have tuned in to his recent lives more. Well promoted and being most researched are two very different things. One is the outcome of his popularity and one is the tactics employed by the company. There is correlation here but those are not directly related. He has 20ish seconds in terms of line distribution for three consecutive CB and not to mention the promoted tracks in between. What are his memorable part in DILT, Back For More and Chasing That Feeling if I may ask? And worse till, he even has one of the least screen time in their MV when he was supposed to be one of the best visuals on this generation. Makes zero sense to me.

If his first solo stage is where I find happiness, this is where I find my healing and comfort Love you Soobin

soobin is such a comfort for me. not only his voice but him as a person. i think this song perfectly sums up who he is for a lot of us. not only does the shortened hangul that we use for ‘soob’ look like a little house because he’s our home, but so does the word forest. the song being about wanting to be a forest of trees that someone can lean on when you feel like you’re drowning in the sea, and soobin always wanting to be that source of comfort for us during hard times. he thought this out very well and i’m so happy he decided to share it with us. our home, our forest, soobin

I feel like Soobin would lean towards the ballad genre once they start doing more solos. He’s been recommending songs like this and has finally covered one. And he fits the genre. Dramas should pick him up as an actor and a singer for their OSTs. Lol Regardless, this is a great Valentine’s gift for us.

Soobin's voice has always been my favorite in TXT, and we do not get to hear him demonstrate his vocals capabilities all that often. This was amazing!!

가끔 보면 회사 윗선보다 멤버들이 팬들한테 통하는게 뭔지 더 잘 아는거 같다 다른곡 권유했고 영상도 없이 올라올 뻔 했다니까.. 나도 사실 오래 기다린 커버인데 넘 잔잔한 곡이길래 기다린만큼 확 터지는 곡을 가져오지 않았던게 의아하기도 했고 처음엔 좋다 정도의 감정이었는데 자꾸 생각나더니 하루의 시작과 끝이 되어버렸다 진심이 느껴져서인지 가사 하나하나 곱씹어 듣게됨 본인의 얘기 같았고 끝내는 행복하다는걸 말해줬고 그 진심이 느껴져서 그런듯 외국인들 한국어 뜻도 모르는데 감동받는거보면 영어 노래한다고 다 통하는게 아니라는거, 한국어 노래 중에서도 터지는 부분이 없는 정말 잔잔한 노래임에도 반응이 좋은건 너의 진심이 통해서야

"Forest" by Choi Yu Ree is one of my favorites of her songs, and having Soobin do a cover with his breathy and beautiful falsetto vocals is a gift. I love the juxtaposition of the cold tone in the video and the warmth of his vocals. This is incredibly beautiful!🫶

It's not enough, no matter how much I thank Soobin over and over again for this gift. I think everyone agrees that this is going to be the most loved out of all TXT solo covers. It's already the fastest to reach 3M among the solo covers of TXT members. Listening to this after a tiring day or before bedtime is best for me.

It's been one month. I feel peaceful and at home listening to it after a tiring day.

I feel like his voice was showcased more in the early years of TXT and he was very much appreciated. We all called him the king of falsetto. Lately, Soobin hasn't had much of a chance to show his voice. People know him for being a great MC or the things you mentioned. I remember the times when everyone went crazy about his line "who's a liar" in Can't you see me. I hope Soobin gets the attention he deserves soon
