As a creator who has only done videos with an iPhone camera, getting a separate camera this good has been high on my bucket-list for years. I feel like I could go from dummy to pro with this ZV-1F on my own and use it right, but for now I view this video as a dummy. The video quality with that camera is crispy good and I don't understand where others are coming from about that being bad

Hello , can you please follow up if this new zv1f camera has the same setup as original zv1 where you have to push c2 button for your video to be stabilized(but you loose wide angle cuz it crops), i don't have sony stabilized tripod and won't get one Thank you!

Which ND filter fits the ZV1-F? help I have no idea which one to choose

This was a fun video! Thank you for shooting it. I just took the plunge and got the Sony ZV-1F to shoot content for my youtube channel. Looking to really up the quality of content lol

It looks like they finally moved the 1/4" thread at the bottom so it does not interfere with the Battery door, please confirm. I think at the same time they should have released the ZV-2 with USB-C, tripod mount placement change, touch-screen and ideally a wider zoom.

У меня примерно такого же форм-фактора камера - Fujifilm xf10, и хочу отметить что постоянное одевание / надевание этой крышечки объектива - сильно раздражает. Так что для меня это сразу большой минус, очень жаль что они отказались от шторок как в предыдущей модели.

A lot of reviewers kept saying a step up from smartphone vlogging, I been using Gopro and I wanna stay away from it! Does it compare to gopro in normal vlogging?

I’m looking into buying a camera to start vlogging, don’t care about becoming a KZreadr I just want something to use to film special events like birthdays, parties, friends reunions, traveling/trips just to have memories and it’s my first time getting into videography and I don’t wanna start off with something pricey. Same over here, I went for the ZV1 but I got it on ebay for 500€ (it was pre owned but the girl that sold me hers only used it like 2-3 times max), maybe have a look on ebay as well, spending the same money for the better version basically :) Even if you won‘t use it for photography mainly, it‘s nice having the opportunity to take nice pictures included for that price!

Could you make a video? How to setup sony zv-1f please?

Why Sony removed from this new model the effective stabilization of the Zv-1 and why it removed phase detection, opting only for contrast detection, and finally, why Sony betting on a 20mm fixed lens, got worse your aperture, from f/1.8 that the Zv-1 had to f/2 this Zv-1 F ? Why didn't they set it to an aperture of f/1.4 since it's now a fixed focal length?

I held off of buying the zv1....I was curious to see what this model would offer ...but even as a newbie...I kind feel like...what's the point? Sure it's an entry level camera...but for the price and the things you get with the zv1, the zv1 seems like a better value for money.

Great entry level camera, great review. When I saw the rumors floating around the last couple of days I thought, “What’s the point?” But the quality for a entry level is actually quite good, and it does make sense from both the flip screen (as compared to a selfie camera on a smart phone) and the wind screen (the white one is cute! Accessories idea - COLOR wind screens (get on it, Sony!)) making the sound quality better, the $500 price point is good! And accessories like the ND filter and grip may increase the overall price, but those can always serve as bundle deals. Love your silly moments with Jenna; good work partners to showcase new products. 😂

I see. This is less of a vlogging camera, but a good talking-head video camera.

Considering the target audience it is surprising that they didn't also offer it in pink and blue colors. The F most likely stands for 'first' as in 'first camera' but for many it will mean 'f-ing TikTok.'

17 minutes, ok I’m in but only watching one vid on this camera. Retention all the way to the end Sidney! That price point is insane for what you get. At around 16 min when you swapped the cameras you can likely notice the difference but watching in on my iPhone 13 Pro it looked damn good.

Sony listen only to the fact that the field of view of 24mm, from the ZV1, was too narrow. They change it, but they screw all the rest, by not improve all the good features of the Zv1, such as the HFR, to allow 960 at 1080p, introduce 4k 60, the aperture of the lens, to allow shallower depth of field (the only thing smartphones cannot deliver in video... STILL), and more low light performance, they could change the lens aperture to 2.0 in all the zoom range; in fact they remove these great features...how stupid this is?!?! this is crazy. A zoom lens is essential for vlogging... no optical stabilization?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!? who wanna be stuck with the same focal length of 20mm?!?!? Only if you can change it, with an interchangable lens camera, which the Zv1F is not... I dont' get these sony guys?!?!? Does anyone?!?! supose you are vlogging about ferraris, and a ferrari passes in front of you. you wann shoot the ferrari in close up, but you dont have a zoom lens?!?! Does Sony knows what vlogging means?!?!? Thes camera is only to sit on a tripod, to shoot some guy talking... is not versatile, for vlogging...

I think the line "a step up from your smart phone" might not be that true. gerald's great review shows the only real advantage of this over the iPhone 14 pro is low light... this camera is REALLY niche and a ton of short comings. I know you are a sony boy, but don't throw away your credibility on this silly device sony won't even care about in 60 days.

I’m gonna have to disagree with you. It’s a really good camera for a specific group of people. It may not be for people who already own higher end cameras or even have many years of experience, but for new younger creators that don’t care about that stuff…it’s actually a great solution. More cameras options. Better for all of us.

That‘s exactly what I did, got my zv1 for 500€ and it was only used a couple times so basically like new👏🏻 I‘m glad I did because the ZV1F just doesn‘t do it for me

@@shinzychan5117 I think Sony is doing an amazing job covering all the different budgets with their camera's. There are features here that even the ZV-1 doesn't have and of course some that are missing. For the money this camera is a solid option. I have a Sony a7siii and a7c and this camera seems like a fun carry around camera, and top down shot camera. With the proper lighting it would make a fantastic talking head KZread camera. Everyone will always find things to hate on every camera. Not everything is created for everyone.

They couldn’t at LEAST add a 20-40mm zoom? That 20mm fixed lens is so debilitating. The ZV-1 is still a better camera than this regardless of the lack of wide lens. I would rather just use my iPhone 13 Pro than this…

Honestly, I find this Sony product disgusting. once again, they are playing with consumers, presenting them with expensive products that, compared to today's smartphones and iphones, lose ground and the battle for those. For example, with my smartphone Samsung Galaxy A71 I can take a quick photo, through the bars of a small window into a dark space and the photo came out very well. With a camera, whatever it is, I waste a lot more time. First, she doesn't fit through the bars of a small window. Second, I take the time to set the maximum aperture possible, increase the iso by one and finally lower the shutter speed to be able to take a photo, more or less equivalent to the one I take with my Samsung Galaxy A71. Sony, be ashamed of deceiving consumers.
