📌 Sony ZV-1 Mark II with BETTER sound - kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZqVlyq2wh6TQe7w.html *The Sony ZV-1 Mark II accidentally had wind reduction on, and that affected the sound.

Nice review! I am disappointed on the MII. They did address the lens with angle, but then made it shorter and slower. They also properly placed the tripod mount so you can access the battery door and gave USB-C. That said, they are charging more and not giving 4k60, S-Cinetone, or a bigger battery. Not having S-Cinetone makes it a less desirable b-cam if you are using S-Cinetone in higher end Sony. Further, ive already fixed most of the shortcomings of the ZV-1 with a cage (which moves the tripod hole and provides a lot of flexibility. If I had the ZV-1 M2, I would still get a cage) and a wide angle lens. So, its only really important upgrade from my perspective is USB-C. For me, it is definitely not worth upgrading from the ZV-1 to the M2.

I don’t think I would be interested in this type of camera, I have so many others ones that do the same thing. Great review, you covered everything I needed to know about this new Sony. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for this video! I just got a zv-1 mark ii, and your video really helped me make my decision. Some people don't like the lack of stabilization and find it expensive, but the camera definitely meets my needs. Great camera for webcam, easy to use with great touchscreen interface, and I like this wide lens.

Thank you for the video review! I am still on the fence! I review anime figures so product reviews. Does this camera come with an SD card? I know people were complaining that this camera was missing some accessories.

@@DiamondFlame45 it doesn't come with SD card but you can get them for pretty cheap. My one issue is that the battery doesn't last long. I got a pack of batteries on Amazon and a charger that charges multiple at once. I also got a "dummy battery" which allows you to plug the camera into a power outlet so you can record indefinitely. I use the camera every now (also as webcam) and it's working great for me.

I was just looking at the specs, and it looks like it has a built in ND filter which, to me, is a huge plus for a little point and shoot.

Seems OK, the Big Minus for me was that stupid Focus thing if i put something up to the camera I don't want the Background Blurred out I HATE when Tv shows do that. and when she was recording outside The Green background looked Not good quality.

I am assuming your using the in camera audio? Sound isnt great for youtube

So this one or zve10 which one you suggest for filming.

I’m looking at the zv1 mark 2 or the zv E10 for a vlog/ all round camera to take travelling thoughts on better option ?? 😅

The microphone quality is hard to determine as it lacks the bottom end (no base). Maybe the low cut-filter was set to on or filtered in post. As it lacked the bottom end in the video I consider it as a big con.

Audio is straight out of camera. Unedited other than slightly raising the volume level.

Good review. No 60fps and the streaming is only 720p makes it last generation. For the money, I'd expect a camera that would remain contemporary for about 5 years at this $900 price. If they can put the chips et al. into a GoPro to exceed these specs, Sony is just being cheap or planning on a short life to sell another camera in a year or so. I'll wait.

Even with the improvement, the lens still isn’t wide enough to make this a viable vlogging camera with stabilization turned on which is a must. I would say most people considering this camera to actually vlog would be better served spending half as much on a DJI or GoPro action camera. The only sacrifice would be in low light situations, but you’re getting a wider angle, better stabilization, and seemingly better audio. Possibly better battery life too. Action cam and cell phone camera is the way to go.

There are pros and cons to using DJI, GoPro, iPhone, and this camera. I’m working on a full comparison video between them all and will have it out soon!

The audio sounds like it's coming out of a can of tuna. Is it camera audio or was something messed up while editing? Sounds like a shotgun mic is a must for this camera. Image quality looks pretty good! With a good monopod /selfie stick the stabilization crop isn't really an issue.

Thanks for a “real world “ (practical) review. To the point, not a blah blah blah dissertation. Seems like an expensive An expensive GoPro(?). I’m still curious about a Fuji review. For inquiry minds! Would be interesting to reshoot this with external mics. Why? As it stands, I wouldn’t buy due to audio (in camera). I used to have the RX 100m7 … still kick myself in the ass for getting rid of it. Cheers!

Yes you're right this camera should do everything that's nice camera but for that amount of money it does not do enough to make me switch from go pro

What’s your thoughts on the ZV E10 as a content creator camera? The stability isn’t the greatest with the standard kit lens? Any advice on improving it on that camera? TIA

Take a wide lens (16mm sigma for instance) wider the lens the easier time the stabilization has. Additional wide angle Sony with Lens Stab will do the job .

@@ventureall-terrain2297 sigma 16mm f/1.4 it is a bit bulky and has no lens stabilization but in terms image quality and price it is stellar.

ZV-E10 is a great alternative to this camera if you want to swap out the lens (it’s a fixed lens on the ZV-1 and ZV-1MII. Stabilization has gotten better on the ZV-1MII and ZV-E1, but all of the ZV cameras can benefit from a gimbal to get the very best stabilization. Built in stabilization and lens stabilization can only get you so far. In terms of vlogging lenses, I really like the 20mm f/1.8 and the new power zoom 16-35mm f/4.

So disappointed with Sony on this one. Took them forever to release the same thing with a wider lens. Yay new menu and upgraded microphone array? Golf clap.

What setting did you use for the sound? Sounded like you're in a tin can. I think the directional mic needs an update.

Very cool but the price is STEEP I feel like a gopro or DJI would get most of the same effects for the same price (this including their microphone and other extensions)

I agree on the steep price. GoPro and DJI offer similar features that in some ways are better, but they still lack certain things like ergonomics, zoom range, and bokeh. Full comparison video between them all is coming soon!

I personally would never buy a stills camera with a built-in lens that only has a 50mm reach….

With that focal length, it’s really aimed at vloggers or those who will be in front of the camera.

No camera's are perfect

Thanks for the video, your outside footage Looks Blurry / Bad Quality. I will NOT be buying this camera.
