Thanks! My z1 freezed and you helped me!

I bricked my Sony Xperia M2 trying to downgrade to 4.3 using Flashtool however this video has saved my life! I turned off my phone (using the button next to microsim) and used the repair tool to boot my phone back up Thank you so much for this upload, would've been lost without it!

Ok thank you so much but I have a problem.. I've forgotten my Xperia M2 password and have been trying all the methods you've mentioned. The problem is that neither my internet nor electricity help me download the firmware to reset the phone to factory settings. Is there a way for me to install the firmware, via torrent for example, and then do the whole process offline? Thank you

Thank you very much, work for me. P.S -> For me was needed to choose my Phone model , but if u dont know your model or something you can choose a random model (but make sure your phone isnt very different than another model)

This works! On the Z3 it's a small yellow square that says off. Hold, wait for 3 vibrations and power on. woooohooooo!!!!! : ) My phone went to sudden death (blacked out screen) and buttons wouldn't work. This fixed my problem. Thanks

+Richard Noail Xperia Z has no physically reset button. Try this, press and hold the Power On and the Volume Up button at the same time. When you feel vibration release them and the phone must restart.

Thanks for the vid, i forgot about the pc companions capabilities, when you did the lock pattern 'Z' was that the pattern you set, or was it only to show that the lock was removed after the FW update? Also when i power off my Z1 it turns itself back on then keeps looping saying SONY(unless i soft reset), would this be a software glitch in my phone that could be fixed with FW update? also only charges by dock not usb(says it is tho) Thanks

Yes, I put this pattern "Z". I also wanted to show that when the phone is screen locked, you can not do a hard reset. At this situation, firmware update with the switched off phone works like a hard reset. About your phone, for me, this look more like a hardware problem, but try to reflash it. This would be the first thing I would do.

I seek for somebody who has an experience of installing CWM or TWRP mods on the Xperia V model. The question is that I can't understand how is it possible to flash the TWRP mod in to the boot partition without affecting the native core installed? People say that Sony Xperia doesn't have the recovery partition where the CWM or TWRP could be safely set up I tried different TWRP versions with the "fastboot boot twrp.img" command that supposed to avoid flashing/partitions modify, but all I get is the command halt or addresses ranges errors. My boot was unlocked. And the "fastboot devices" detects my phone willingly. Can anyone explain in details what the TWRP image is? Is it the kernel extended or a image that won't boot the system in the normal mode after it was flashed into the boot partition? And how to be sure it won't damage anything? alexandrunete I suggest you first reinstall PC Companion. Check your antivirus / firewall. Maybe they blocked the program. I did my update via Wi-Fi.

WORK ON XPERIA E4 WITH LOCKED SCREEN PATTERN!!! Thank you ZFix. I forget my screen pattern and was unable to enter the phone,trying from hard reset with soft keys to secret codes etc,but without success.I googled for 2 days and finally got it with pc companion,just be patient-with average speed its takes from 1-2 hours to finish all process. PS.Dont let your pc get into sleep mode,from time to time move the coursor. Just fallow instructions.

i have a z1s that has a lcd deep crack and half the touch screen doesnt work. i have a pin code lock. i did a soft reset but does it change that pin? i cant use the top number bar. im hoping it changes to something lower so i can get in and change the settings to get my files off. it doesnt have any internet connection currently. :/

hey there. my xperia`s touchscreen just bugged. at first it didnt even react, then again it just did what it wanted, doing stuff on its own, although the surface clearly wasnt wet. just want to thank you, I did the soft reset thingy, and it`s working again now, and I hope that will stay like this.. just curious though, if you have experienced similar problems already and/or know what this is about? was it just a casual freeze, or does this have a more complex reason? oh and just in the case its going to happen again, how often are you able to use this reset button, without damaging your phone. or doesnt this affect its funcionality at all, and you can unhesitatingly use this as often as you like to? might be a silly question, but technically you are stalling the phone, since it doesnt shut down as it usually does, but instead just goes out immediately, so this might not be good for the phone, or am I wrong there?

TheGregor1997 Because you can not remove the battery of this model, the manufacturer has set this button. You can use it as many times as you like. Because the problem occurs again, save your data and make a hard reset. Also check for the latest firmware. If the phone is not OK, the problem is a hardware, most likely touch screen.

Press and hold it 3-4 seconds until you feel an vibration. This is a softwaer reset, same lake removing the batter. If you want to bypass the screen lock you have to flash the phone with Sony PC Companion.

There is no button like that inside, just white stickers that are a similar size but no button it might not be a z1 model but it is definitely an Xperia
