Loyal Xperia user here. Their phones are so underrated and under appreciated. Rarely gets mentioned as rival phones on other popular phones’ reviews of Its actual direct competitors. When online journalists talk about good new phones of the year, Xperia does not get mentioned while Huawei and, one plus does, heck even the reviving Nokia. Like hello, it’s there, the company that most likely made your phone camera. It’s like invisible to the world. I appreciate those who mention Xperias and those who review them.

Can a fellow owner help me? 😅 I just switched from Apple after years of using iPhones (never doing Apple phones again) and I used the manual silent switch on the side absolutely all the time. I'm looking for the fastest way to put my XZ3 on silent! So far I've only found Do Not Disturb (which still makes all the sounds if I'm still using my phone 👀 including calls on loud!) and going into settings and manually dragging the nob for volume down to mute. ...Is there a way I can add a shortcut for the silent button on my pull down menu?? Pls help🙏 lol

Hi guys, just got my XZ2. When I play games with 16:9 screen ratio (of course it won't fit the 18:9 display), the game shows on the leftmost of the screen. Is there any way I can align it at the center of the screen. Many thanks!

Cheap phones like Huawei mate 20lite, P smart, Nova 3,etc or Xiaomi phones are ok

Nothing about that fingerprint/smudge prone back makes me go "ooh..nice!" ;O) However, it *does* look stunning, for about 3 seconds, till you have to wipe it again and I couldn't be doing with that weirdly placed Fingerprint Scanner. Kudos to Sony for staying Notch free :O)....but, for how long, with every other bugger jumping on the bandwagon?

Sure... sony is one of the best products in the market. In my country (India) Sony xperia marketing is near to closed, very few phone shop sells Sony phones due to failing in service center frauding people. Let me tell you a short story...... A guy purchase xz1 rs 45000, enjoying using under water selfies, photo, etc..... After 1mount he got charging problem under warranty and they fixed and said in the service center phone comes with water proofing, so u can use the device same u use before in water. One day that guy keeps his device under tap to remove finger prints from screen 2-3 sec his phone goes dead. Later service center r denying to take the device under warranty due to water damage, a engineer who delivered the phone to owner is no wear to be found, they r saying he leaved that job. Now, they r telling to pay for repair 😣😣😣 owner only used the device 3 mount still under warranty.... Plz help by any advice 😢😢😢

i dont believe that. no sony employee would have said that. read the papers coming with the phone. its not to be used to take underwater pictures or movies. it will stand the accidentally drop into water....no guarantee therefore. he was lucky to get it fixed first time.

mrwunderwuzzi don't talk like fool.... I think u must be one of them frauding idiot. First of all you need to get correct information - sony flagship r waterproof phones up to 1.5meter...... I enjoy the phone in pool taking photos, but nothing happen because it was waterproof. After 1mount under warranty I got come charging issue, they all seating on a counter told even after repair phone comes with water proofing. I asked more than 10 times while giving while receiving. If you cannot give helping advice than plz at least don't comment like fool 😒😒😒

my dearest polite indian friend. how you react is not the best way to make friends. but here in europe we are used to people like you, therefore i will give you some proper information about sonys "waterproof" xperia phones, rated IP 65/68. Its not true that on a box of the device there is written that its waterproof up to 1.5 meters. its written that its rated IP65/68. This meansthat under a strictly controlled laboratory environment, the hardwareworks as designed even after being exposed to specific conditions. Sony devices that are tested for their waterproofabilities are placed gently inside a container filled with tap waterand lowered to a depth of 1.5 metres. After 30 minutes in the container,the device is gently taken out and its functions and features aretested. IP6X » Dust tight. IPX8 » Protected against the effects of continued immersion in water at depths greater than 1 metre. So, the IP rating of your device was achievedin laboratory conditions in standby mode, so you should not use thedevice underwater, such as taking pictures. Do not use the deviceto take photos while performing any type of activity underwater, includingdiving or snorkeling. Which, of course, is a general advise for all manufactures and phones rated this IP - which is the best you can get on the market atm.

That's a good thing! I've noticed that some of the "big" YT tech reviewers (Unbox Therapy, MKBHD etc..) aren't reviewing this phone or the XZ2, or the XZ2 Premium. Hell! I can't remember the last Sony phone I've seen them review. The better question is why aren't more tech reviewers making Xperia XZ3 videos?
