One drawback in xperia phones is that you can't find a lot of cases and accessories for it. The good case makers doesn't even make case for xperia.

Great review as usual man! That qnovo smart charge is a game changer that people who use competitors just dont understand. Overall this makes me excited for the new form factor of the xperia 1. I will be waiting for their 5g model either later this year or next year from my xz premium

Absolutely love this 21:9 ratio. But why Sony have you made us small handed people hate the fact you dropped a XA2 spec in the 6 inch Xperia 10 and give the 6.5 inch Plus size model (for just 50 quid more) an upgraded processor, extra RAM and a bigger screen? Obviously the profit margin sinks its teeth into the 10 model and given no compact model is coming for the Xperia 1 ask you WHYYYYYYYY!

Danny Cliff Yes, the XA2 had only 3GB of RAM compared to the XA2 Ultra and consequently had pretty poor RAM management. I don’t understand either why Sony hobble the smaller models. The £50 difference should just be for the different size, not a whole different experience and different specs. Still tempted by the 10 Plus when the price inevitably drops though.

So the main question that NO ONE ever says anything about this phone is.. does it have MANUAL camera settings? Because that is actually a game changer if it does. Forget how beautiful one picture is compared to another-- it's all software tuned. Software like photoshop express or third party video editing apps you can use for personal grading preference. Sony makes all the sensors for most smart phones, so if you have the SONY camera sensor on a "SONY" phone, shouldn't you have the best quality non-graded images/videos from this phone? I've been really interested to buy this phone for a couple weeks now but cannot find an answer to that question.

In case you don't know, most people believe this is due to a patent conflict in the US (rumour: HP). We all know they can integrate both of them without any issue technically as seen from previous models.

@@Rock2005Star From hands-on videos I've watched, when you put your finger onto the sensor, you would wake up and unlock the phone, no swiping needed. But if you click the power button, then you just wake up the phone without unlocking. I personally think this make sense: sometimes you want to unlock and get straight into work at once using fingerprint, and sometimes you just want to check time or notifications.

I guess when you put it that way it makes sense.........AS LONG AS I don't have that issue!! lol So the dedicated camera button is gone then, even for the 1?? Replaced by the Power button needing to be pushed twice?

Not a fan of the ridiculous super narrow super tall trend , yes it is wide in landscape , but you lose ceiling , the image is actually smaller in height , how is that a good thing ? If you have fairly large hands , the keyboard width is going to suck . Bring back wide phablets !

Those Galaxies are flagships, so they're both better than the midranger xperia 10 plus. The Sony has a smaller battery yet it can last about 13 hours straight, is more affordable and I've seen it perform pretty fast against an s10 plus.

Is 330€ too much for this phone?

Bought xperia 10 plus in May 2019 and after 2 months rear camera doesn't work. When I try to open camera application says; Error : cannot start camera. Restart camera or device. Tried several times but not successful. Seems others have same problem when I searched on internet, but no one had any solution. Its a shame to spend over €300 on a Sony xperia 10 plus that fails just after 2 months.

Yes but I bought this phone online from abroad and its a hassle to send back apart from the cost. Thought it might be a software problem and could be fixed without the need to send to repair centre. And I'm sure some damage will result to open the phone. Wouldn't accept that on a new phone!

The newer processors sure has better performance, that better performance is not bang to the extra bucks, and these extra bucks are not just an extra penny, chipsets are the most expensive part in the smartphone, the regular xperia 10 could have been like its bigger sibling, yes.

Very Good as all Sony phones. Xperia xz1 has a good battery Life with only 2700 mah. Sony is the King of batteries life in phones.

This was the best smartphone for me so far. But! The phone lasted only for 9 months 😢 I had the same touchscreen issues like tens of thousands of Sony users all around the world. I really like this phone, but the official Sony Services couldn't repair the phone, so Sony refunded the phone. All my last 3 Sony phones had touchscreen issues! I think maybe it's time to move on to another manufacturer. (disappointed Sony fan)
