It's a pretty good phone for its price. Good looking design, water resistant, triple camera, and an OLED screen 👍👍👍👍👍

I bought this phone a few days ago and love it, who cares if there are better and more expensive phones out there. How come not a single reviewer mentions the notification LED in the top right corner, most of the expensive phones don't even have it because they have to stretch the screen and put stupid notches and holes in it. I always liked the Xperia phones but could not afford them, now I could with this great and midrange phone. But it sure is slippery :-) ordered some cases for it and look forward to using it the next years. My Note Edge was a great phone as well, used it for more than 4 or 5 years. Who knows maybe I will make a review myself :-)

Samshit will never make so soft and pleasant devices ever for acceptable prices. Simple to use and so many mods to add. Camera it's amazing if you open its Api2 with third party and simply doesn't have match nowadays. 10II my next!

I bought the dual SIM version two weeks ago. You can use either 2 SIMs or 1SIM and an SD card. I would prefer to have a plastic back, glass seems a dumb choice for an object likely to be dropped regardless of how tough it is claimed to be. I really like the phone, bear in mind I don't use a camera ever and don't run demanding apps or games so I don't need the faster chip of the 5ii, it would be wasted on me and I get to save over £400. I have Bluetooth on all day playing music and KZread content and use it as a WiFi hotspot for a couple hours and still have a bit if power left last thing at night. For some reason I recently became a fan of all things Sony, I'm using their wireless headphones with the phone and they integrate really well. I like the low key styling of Sony products. I also like that this phone is not made in China, this is one of the reasons I bought it.

Nope. It lacks behind similarly priced competition in every spec: chipset, RAM memory, screen-body ratio, battery, and so on. Literally *every* competitor for 400 and even much less completely obliterates it. Take idk Xiaomi MI Note 10 Lite - 5260 vs 3600 mAh, 20% faster CPU that uses less power, *double* the RAM memory, etc. This is by far the worst phone in every aspect in the price range on the market.

@@NiohNiohYT Right, those competitors that spy on you from China or give you the much better 720p resolution (cough cough SE 2020) and BESTEST LCD technology in the display for watching videos that most people use the phone for on social media, streaming services, youtube or recorded content via the camera. Drop those phones in water and lets see how long they last- wait did they forget their IP68 rating at home. Those competitors are so good they use gorilla glass 5 instead of the gorilla glass 6 used in the Xperia for better durability. Some of them cut out their own screen, because who needs a full screen- look at that beautiful chunk we took out your phone to fit a camera- where else could we put it? Who needs 1080p OLED, headphone jack, expandable storage, IP65/68 water and dust protection, 128GB storage and multiple camera array for versatility. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is no doubt a good phone, but it has chinese spyware, has no warranty, uses older gorilla glass 5, uses older UFS 2.1 instead of UFS 3 storage, has no expandable storage, has no telephoto camera, doesn't have LDAC (best wireless bluetooth codec by a large margin), has lower resolution/ ppi and doesn't support a large number of video formats like H.265 as far as I am aware. So each phone has pros and cons.

@@mouadtalbi4170 i hacked our (netherlands) system. got it on a contract cheap 270 and payed it all off at once instead of every month i also payed for the 2 € a month extra option to cancel your contract at any time. tecnically i payed 27 € for the first month but that includes unlimited 4g and calls/sms for a month. edit: so i can go prepaid any time i want. but 27 for unlimited data and calls is not bad. edit edit : i also got a free WI-C310 headset with it for free as some sort of action by sony.

Imo, it doesn't even have to be flagship spec.... This phone is actually perfect... As narrow as the new iPhone SE so 16:9 content would look almost exactly the same except OLED. GG6 on front and back which is epic af, non cringe cameras, 3600mAh is really nice for this footprint. The only thing that isn't good would be the performance of the SD665 they could've included atleast a 675 or a 720G. Sony actually made a good phone this time.

No. The Sony USA website does not have Xperia 10 ii. This means the device will never show up. Just 1 ii and Pro.

i own the xperia 10 plus, which is an impressive and premium device (as every sony device), but my main issue with mine is the absolutely terrible fingerprint sensor, is incredible bad, considering i owned the xperia xz which in my opinion had the best fingerprint reader, super fast and never failed me once, but on the xperia 10 plus, no matter how much i clean the phone, my fingers or create multiple fingerprints for the device to read, it just doesn't detects my fingers, i'm hoping the xperia 10 mk 2 fixes this issue

I have the same issue with my Xperia 5. It seems after the Android 10 update all these sensors got messed up. I did delete my fingerprint after the last update and registered the same thumb twice and it did help improve it. However, I'm hearing that Sony fixed this issue in their newer models, so let's hope more reviewers confirm this.

Indeed if you want to buy a flagship phone that still has a headphone jack Xperia 1 II is the best bet what people didn't not know is that even if this phone retained the jack which is the best but Sony did bring back alot of old features that we wanted like the support of the dualshock 4 wireless charging etc. and that i agree with you. Not only Sony has released this phone but also it's low cost devices Xperia 10 II and L4 both of them has 3 cameras and still they retained the headphone jack

Perfect design but lack of power. It should come with sd765/sd730g then this phone will be the best midrange to have.

any phone that outperform snapdragon 820 devices for speed and cpu throttling are surely enough to do more even it could be the lowest in 2020. take a look for pixel 3a, people are shilling about their chipsets but it does perform much better for daily stuffs and it's a worthy midrange.

No. In this price range almost all phones have headphone jacks and in flagships LG has been doing it for long time, with better sound quality than Sony. They didn't put notch not because you don't want it but cos it's cheaper for them to make it, you pretty much have *huge* bezel instead of screen - cheaper for them. Also you can "turn off" notch in options so it only contains battery info and notification icons, so that's still some extra screen space gifted to you pretty much instead of a bezel.

Got it with a discounted price that's about $317. So far have been quite satisfied by this phone, although there are some shortcomings that are still acceptable. Love it ❤️ Great design, great display, great sounds. Good companion 👍

Got it for €240,00 with contract, works good. It's a beautifull phone, i was a bit dissapointed with the camera speed and performance. Now i'm over that, use another app and that helps. Formfactor is my main reason for this phone❤️.

This is much better. Basically, it's very similar to the Xperia 5 with half the price. I would definitely put this phone on my list if I was thinking of buying having a new phone.

@kakro I agree that the XZ3 is a better choice. Not only it is faster and have a more premium build, the XZ3 also has QHD display, wireless charging, stereo speakers and only slightly smaller battery. The only downside I can think of is XZ3 will only get up to Android 10.

Just bought this one this week. Last Sony was xz1c and with a Galaxy A70 last year. Since discovering Samsung hardcoded a China DNS server secretly I had to get rid of it. Release price here US335. So far like the form factor despite initial fear. CPU coped ok most of the time. I use proper camera for pic so the camera here not priority. Good with BT aptx and LDAC.

also get free head phone in Europe.

@@Pantosoft No, Sony doesn't have the best build quality. They actually get faulty more often than the likes of competition including Huawei, Apple, Samsung, and believe it or not Xiaomi. Check statistics. The two only worse brands than Sony are HTC and LG when it comes to quality/reliability. Also, it's by *very* *far* the worst phone in this price range, getting outspeced by literally double by all competition in ~400$ price range. Disgrace. There is no excuse for sub 4000 mAh battery, for 11nm crappy CPU and 4GB RAM for 400$ in 2020, let alone bezels from 5 years ago and so on.

Me and my friends were joking because we couldnt break it, (im not joking) Xiaomis and hauweis are chiply made with non premium materials. Sony, LG, nad Samsung are better. (Dont forget the heavy software skins on top of chinese phones who make the rather big batteries drain easily...)

Strange... He said Xperia 10 mark II has a good build quality, but gave the Sony Xperia 1 mark II bad review of the very same thing. In sense he gave this phone a thumbs up but the best SONY phone a thumbs down? I am kinda shocked? Just watched the review of the premium phone, and its kinda horrible. Nitpicking, not even mentioning the good things, or maybe way Sony did chose not to use high frame rate in the screen.

I am very impressed with this phone! I can't believe Sony stepped up their game and provided all these features in a mid-range phone (e.g. OLED, three camera lens, 128GB, compact size) and for half the price of the Xperia 5 which is a top-notch Sony phone. This is the compact version that many people have been craving and looking for! The only difference is that now it's a mid-ranger rather than a flagship. Who the hell would want to get the one plus for £600 when Sony is selling this for £320?!

Sony products are considered premium therefore are overpriced deliberately. They are in their own league. They might not be leaders in the smartphone world but are leaders in many other departments. Therefore they can demand any price they want.

@@12pie3tro21 Ecco il sonaro. Si purtroppo l'ho comprato, una merda di telefono. Funziona tutto male, fotocamera lenta, lettore di impronte da far finire in psichiatria, audio basso in chiamata, audio whatsapp bassissino, zero features, ricezione scarsa, wifi pigro che si disconnette, lagga. Uniche note positive ergonomia, peso/dimensioni, display e autonomia. Purtroppo è nato male sto telefono a partire dal processore, ci sono troppe cose negative che ne pregiudicano un uso ottimale nel quotidiano. Spero di non averti fatto cadere un mito ma sony ha fatto un flop con questo telefono. L'ho in vendita ma non riesco a venderlo nemmeno a 200 attualmente è chiuso dentro la scatola. Se entro un mese non riesco a venderlo proverò a mettere una rom sperando di recuperarlo.

Se acquisti un telefono per giocarci è normale che non ti soddisfi. Il mio va benissimo, mai un rallentamento, alla faccia di cinesoni e Samsung

The only thing sony needs to get right is battery life and then I’d get a Sony.

It looks better than all the ugly notches on your phone. seriously people are so bad in taste. They would eat the shit if shit is future tech instead of old good food.

A hole and a notch won't make a phone look premium lol.. atleast pop up screen does...but a hole in the screen is dumb ass hell....image a hole or a notch on ur TV lol

Sony phones are ugly, just stop, it's worse then LG.

Can you watch youtube iplayer etc on full svreen because of the 21:9 screen?

But do you loose content like buts of heads or do people become bloated. I really like the idea of the phone but if the experience becomes inhibited I'm not sure. Is there an app to help? Love the idea but seems inpractical if there is not content to support the screen ratio. Or is it just the phone concept is ahead of its time.

@@Babsharker For youtube, yes some (most) video may be cropped top and bottom. And some youtube video will have that 21:9 aspect. If you watch a movie on your phone, it'll be a perfect fill screen. But tbh, it is not that big deal having black boxes left and right (well, atleast for me tho).
