Nice. Got it disassembled today. Shame no video shows disassembly process in full. Had to find out myself the hard way. But it seems upgradable, and in time I will do just that. It has great potential. Drivers are quite nice quality (Qts 0.65) compared to usual crap, and nice surface area. Passive radiators although tuned high at 50Hz (can be tuned down) have more displacement capabilities, so tuning down should be possible if one is not after the last decibel of sound pressure, but rather deep bass. I´m doing it soon. After all, for 2/3 price of JBL, it was not a bad purchase. Looking forward to outdo JBL.

Yeah, marketing and purchasing power. You know that good audio is supposed to cost more than one average wage back then, and there is no reason for it to change. Very nice speakers set in high quality would be close to $2500. There are no products on the market (except for snakeoil madness). Speakers would certainly sound much better with current technology.

I really don't get the "extra bass" theme that sony is trying to push so hard. Like seriously, if you turn this feature off in the app, the bass just disappears

The "megabass" is there to boost upper bass at 30-50% volume but above 70% it falls away sony could maybe fix this with update

Watts don´t play. Watts heat. You don´t need to orient yourself according to such specs.

Sony but please come on , the tweeter are so cringe and quiet. Iam not hating Sony because the Speaker ist still stunning. Good Design , good Bass at upper focus kicks really hard and is better than many others.

Its just sad that sony asking much money for it +-400€ as a deal but some still ask 450# the boombox 2 has come down allot to arround 350-375€ the Xiaomi bomber was arround 330€ with taxes thats why i kinda think i should have performed bit better in deep bass and at higher volume maybe less distortion

@@techderaudios youre right. Of course its not worth it! Price about 300 maybe. you only get a speaker with a very good bass but otherwise rather subdued sound. Sounding very warm

@@techderaudios I didn't find the xiaomi bomber exciting. was also rather restrained and sound manageable. My personal opinion about it. The membranes were hardly vibrating so not like the jbl or sony in comparison. the membrane area of ​​the xaomi bomber is also smaller.

Yeah, I returned the XG500, it sounded way too low when used outdoors.

Put the side woofer's back on them make a proper video that shows this speaker working properly

so thats why is not as bassy as the xb43, i cant bealive is such a big speaker, so expensive and sony cuould not deliver.

I have 2 xb43s and just acquired the xg500 I can tell you the xg500 is way louder and has way more bass the the xb43 literally rumbles my room
