Don't buy this overpriced junk, and get the Soundcore Life Q35 instead. It beats Sony's tuning by a mile once you have the graphic EQ tweaked properly.

how does these sound when listining lossless sound in wired mode?? Did all the audio process technology applies when connected through wired mode??

Thanks for your review! Don't think Sony (with their bass enhanced sound) will have that tonal balance you're looking for...but it works well for certain genres.. The mic test...impressed me. Busy intersection, yet you could be easily understood (though your voice did sound a tad muffled). The background noise was reduced by a decent amount (more than I expected).

It's sony's Tonal balance but not tuned upto 11 . Which is good... Most importantly it sounds like the resposnse is reasonably smooth to the ear... Haven't actually measured it ofc

Is wh1000xm3 to this one a upgrade?

I can't think of a reason for that geolocation eq other than it might just be a gimmick. A better use case for custom eq would be for a different eq for separate songs

xb is simply bass boosted so depends on how important that is to you. Having said that, I haven't tried the xb910n for very long so i really couldn't say yet.

What are it's competitors in this price bracket?

I got a static noise when used wired to sony tv with anc on. Is this a broken device?

Hey, thanks for the review! I was wondering how much they leak sound like in ur surroundings? If ur somewhere mostly quiet do they leak out the music/sound ur listening to a lot, especially if its higher volume? Its a big problem with my current headphones so I want to know with these before buying :)

I listen at about 75 maybe 80% and it barley leaks it’s not bad imo but it also depends on what your listening to

Volume goes reasonably loud.. Will definitely get upto 90db - 95db at the very least.. Not the loudest out there for sure.

These are actually excellent sounding headphones if you use the Sony app to set the equaliser. Hint: wind down the bass and treble, wind up the midrange. Like a bell curve.

This is the best mid-range ANC with superb sound quality. Just bought mine, it was worth every penny! I can wear it all day and no headache or sore it is very light yet feels premium!

Had these and won't stop disconnecting to my Samsung S8 tab,just uninstalled the appNow fine,funny because on my S6 lite and Pixel phone, no problem, Great headphones for the price👍👍👍

If you were to choose between wh-h910n and the wh-ch720n, which would you choose? I've been on a journey online with some people saying that the 910n's are outdated and some people saying that the 720n's are crap and you should never get them. If the 910n's are maybe $30 more expensive than the 720n's in my area, would you get them?

i am currently dealing with myneighbors renovations so it's hella drills everyday. looking for headphone that does can do noisecancellation via eq. i know the sound of a drill is near impossible to block out. not knowing the frequency i can make a plan.

Yeah that's a tough one. Good quality Foam earplugs might be the best thing honestly

Thanks for the great review. I´ve heard that the Sony WH CH720 N head piece is made of a fragile plastic, specially on the pieces that join the drivers with the headset so it can easily break down. On the other hand, what about the ear pads material quality? For those who have been wearing them for over a year, please let me know your experience.

I had the JBL 660nc live headset but I lost them and now I have to buy a new set. I saw your review on them and you said you would prefer these ones. I was going to try these out but they don't have on/off ear detection and I got so used to just taking them off my ears and them pausing automatically and for that reason I think it's a deal breaker for me and I'll be re purchasing the JBL headset.

I have one of these and the ear pads do get shallower over time… first few days were comfortable, after that I can feel the drivers pressing on my ears. Just to let you know

I do find a good reason to change the eq levels based on your location. Let’s say you go to the gym, and the music you listen at the gym is more base dominant, so you’ll wanna have a good eq mix for that genre. Same thing with a library, you wanna have a good eq mix for a more soothing genre

I haven't used the XB910 but generally it comes down to whether you want bass or not (at least from a sound quality point of view... I like the 720 which is still bass boosted but done to an extent and in a way that doesn't affect the clarity of the mids as much.. Ps: thanks for becoming a member!

Ok, the tuning was a big flaw on the XM4s and something I learnt with my Soundcore L3P is that them can be EQ, certainly but major flaws are nearly impossible to fix. Well, two things. 1. Maybe you can reinstall it and will be OK..2. Sony pushed firmware updates to fix things so.... Although that shouldnt be your problem.. You could return them.. Mine doesn't have these issues so perhaps some units are acting weird?

I got one. Its bcoz of comfort.sound quality and most of price. Im happy.

If it helps, xb910 has an awful tuning in the bass. It can be fixed to a certain level with Poweramp but it has to be extremely tweaked. The 720s have much better tuning, not perfect though, but will take eq easier. Yoy can make theme sound really well and certainly more spacious. It's a shame not having LDAC with this tuning and so does the 910s have it. I agree, good hardware+good tuning is better than a codec+poor tuning. However, since the 720s can be played wired while being on and taking advantage of the DSP, at least you can try lossless audio that way
