XM4's are the best when it comes to portability. XM5's has better noise cancellation. That's all the major things you need to know. XM4's are just as good and are on sale for way cheaper at the end of the month usually. There, saved you time if you are trying to find which one to buy

Yeah that about sums up these headphones. I’ve still got my xm3’s which I use almost everyday. Despite the ear Cups starting to fall apart I still love them. If the xm5’s had the same design as the 3 and 4’s I would have gotten a pair by now

Ironically enough I watched this vid and read this thread while wearing my xm4’s lol. Also for everyone else in this thread regarding the 3’s and worn out ear pads: in case you don’t know you can actually get replacement ear pads alone (at a decent price of memory serves). I had the original gen1 for years until gen 4 and I only recently discovered that you can remove the cups with no screws as they are just clipped in (I was sweating too much wearing during garage work and I needed to clean them pronto 😂)

@@khadarsk370 those weren't mine, but i so know the guy, they are absolutely awesome, but i would recommend xm4s cause these new xm5s are a hassle to carry around and u can't wear them on your neck cause of the inverted earcup design, if carrying them won't be an issue they are good otherwise go for the xm 4 , (i personally use the jbl live 660 so i really do recommend u give me a try too, half the cost and really well built )

Ah, the... '5MX0001-MW yb YNOS' Some advice; get comfortable with seeing yourself "non mirrored" (I know... It's super strange... But you get used to it) You can try and record yourself with the front facing camera instead. Place a mirror behind it, slightly angled down, so you can frame the shot. The mirror will make it look natural for you while recording (because you don't move in the opposite direction of the image on screen). It's also a little easier to present yourself in a natural way. After that... Just get used to seeing your face 'in reverse'. (You eventually do get used to it. And you figure out which side / angle is your 'photogenic side'... The side you're most content with) Best to practise that, man. Brands - and their Marketing managers - are preeeetty keen on seeing their logo & product displayed as intended. (I was one of those people for a major airline..) So if you want to keep getting YNOS or elppA or gnusmaS products (see the problem?) sent to you to review... You might want to consider mirroring the screen ;) OR... Film it like you do now, edit it while it's still mirrored... Then when everything is finished, flip the video around, export, upload, and just don't look at it anymore (: (Ostrich style!)

ive got the WH-1000 XM3 since their release date and tbh best headset purchase ive made so far still enjoying them

For consumer wireless ANC headphones they're very good. Acceptable frequency response graph, high bitrate codec support, and app support for ANC and FR tuning. Compared to wired hifi headphones, they may not be anything special, but that's not their market and they know it. They're targeting people who grew out of the flash aesthetics of Beats but still like that bass-heavy response but now want a bit more refinement to their sound.

Still own my Sony 3s from years ago and they are still leaps above newer high end headphones on the market today. I'll stick with Sony for the future

I returned a pair, expected more for the price tag.

Only quality feature in this headphones is incredible ANC but if one does not need it then it's pointless to buy them.

​@@Ohkeh640 that depends on the music, a common error is seting in 10 for the Bass, so, I have 2 configs, one for, metal making and rock, a V equalization, and hight frequencies with full bass for techno, dance, house and things like that. To improove more the Bass, you need to use the Noise Cancelling

Actually i have the same headphones They were bit expensive but were so good and are wired and wireless so i use these with my gaming laptop as well

I would disagree, as most good wired earphones require an external amp / dac. Which exponentially adds to the price, where as this is an all in one package and require no additional equipment. But if we were to purely considering their ability to play sound accurately with disregard to any additional equipment needed, then I would believe your statement stands. I may be wrong though, please do correct me if i am. Have a good day!

@@vedantsingh_ nah you're perfectly fine running wired headphones out of most devices. Only the more extreme cases require extra power but even simple amplifiers suffice. You will always get better sound from a wired setup with no exception.

The sound quality of these isn’t just “not accurate”, it downright sucks. They sound like a $50 gaming headset. Even with EQ, they still sounded worse than my AirPods Pro.

@@schulz8397 Yeah, I used the Sony Over-Ear WH-1000XM2 and WH-1000XM4 and they are both really good headphones but as put the XM4s on for the first time I expected them to be a bit better. But they do sound as good as my Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2. The Sonys do have more bass right away, but with Equalizers you can get get better performance (in my opinion) with my Sennheiser EarBuds... But that can of course be subjective. Objectively all Sennheiser Headphones are very neutral.

Somehow I got recommend this and yes with headset on. Sound quality was awesome.

Well the xm5 is tuned horribly. It’s not even close to being the best headphone in its price category. I would only get the xm5 for the strong anc, otherwise I can’t justify spending so much on the xm5

Yeah that’s because they sound like a $50 gaming headset. Bass and nothing else. Which sucks because the noise cancelling was great. But a pair of electronic earmuffs (because they were essentially useless for actually enjoying music) was not worth $450 to me, so I returned them.

Hey just a heads up it’s called a trs cable (3.5 m audio) I don’t think theirs a connector called mini audio. The “ larger audio” cable I believe your thinking of is called T-shirt cable otherwise known as the guitar amp cable lol. Ts= tip/sleeve where as trs is tip/ring/sleeve, ((3 conductors instead of 2) ex. so left right and mic) the size of the connector on termination won’t tell you too much about the cables themselves Yeah so I watched the video back confirmed that is a trs cable

I have WH-1000XM4 myself, I had to disable the speech recognition software and disable to touch sensitive controls because they annoyed me (can be done with software luckily) The sound is pretty good, not the best I have had, but definitely above average. It's one of the most comfortable headphones I have had, it might be due to my head shape so who knows, experience may vary. Overall I give it a 4,5 stars out of 5.

the right side of the headphones is a touchpad where and how u tap the touchpad or swipe it in a certain direction, it will control the volume, music skip, ambient sound, and pausing and playing audio

Yesterday I went to the store and take them a look. The sound quality it's pretty decent, but the comfort you feel on the head it's inmaculate, you can only apreciate you put them on. keep in mind that the sound quality it's "decent" but, that "decents only applies before the audio adjustment on the app.

I was cross shopping the xm5 and ultimately went with Mark Levinson 5909. My budget was $300 and I was well below that having just to pay for shipping and tax. Used my credit card points towards e gift cards at Crutchfield. Sounds phenomenal. I found the xm5 tinny and lacking when I heard them at Best Buy. ML 5909 are phenomenal sounding

I really hope for the 6th version they include a bluetooth button because man it's annoying to have to turn off the headphones and turn them back on while holding on the power button to activate bluetooth search in the first place. Otherwise they are definitely headphones worth getting especially when they're discounted.

I generally wouldn’t recommend a Boss product for anything other than ANC. For >$200, you could get professional audio engineer shit, and even below $150 you could get some amazing AKG K612 on deal.

Your voice is so sharp in headphone

Wow, the headphone quality is the same as my headphone quality!

I'm using MDR 1000xb's from 2017, haven't used anything else since, and listening via youtube can convince me yet 😅

wish that i could have that kind of headphones 😍

I have them and they are amezing! So comfy even after 5/6 hours a day! App Worms great too. Only thing is that they are big to take in the go in a normal backpack.
