You can do both choose voice assistant of the phone and you can use voice assistant and have right bud in the case. please unsubscribe for false info.

Many people like myself go on KZread see this as one of the first results and think they can't have left earbud working by itself. If it wasn't for one of the comments that helped me I would have returned I'm spreading it foward and like two people asked my how. Like many others in these comments, I paired these earbuds to a new phone and wasn't sure why the left bud wasn't working properly any longer. Was able to select Use Voice Assistant of Device and now left earbud works independently and am still able to use Google Assistant off my phone. Thank you so much for this video.

Man I wish I could give this video more likes!!! I've been stressing out over this for hours after connecting my buds to my new Pixel phone. You a real one for making this video.

Thanks for the inspiration! On my Samsung Android I can select "voice assistant of the phone" instead of "Google assistant". Now I can swap between the buds AND still use the Google assistant!

Man I was about to return these as much as I love them!!! Battery life was so good that when it finally died and I tried to 'hot swap' to the left one, it did not work. I was so disappointed. Figured it was a glitch because all the other reviewers says it work. Thanks alot!! I will try this hack.

@@devanshkalia9072 download the app if you didn't then when you go sound. There's a option to choose voice assistant that goes with your phone. It is the second option.

Wow thanks. Was able to follow the video without any audio. Taking the left earbud out of the case while the right one is left inside, then putting the left one back in worked a charm.

Just FYI. Got them 2 hours ago, they were working. Firmware update appeared, started to install it, failed at 9% and since then the left earbud doesn't work anymore. I mean at all, not only sound, it's not recognised by the case when put in or pulled out, touch button doesn't work, so I can't reset them. Left earbud is bricked. Very stupid design that you can only update via bluetooth and if the update fails it can brick the earbuds and you can't try to update again through bluetooth.

@ Pady Eos Hey same thing happened to me , apparently all you gotta do is put them in the case , connect the case to charge and open and close the case more than 5 times, the case should start blinking red and it’ll reset the earbuds. Hope this works!

Thanks for the tip. For me left ear bud was not working as soon as i opened the brand new xm4 from box. Ibtrued toggling Google assistant as mentioned here it did not work still. Then learnt from another video to reset the buds by connecting the case to charger then open and close the case 5 times ..it did factory reset of the buds and left ear bud got powered in and started working fine ..

Hey. In my wx bf700 the left bud is the main bud. The right cant work alone with out it. Now i lost the left one so it doesnt work. Is there any way to make the right one in charge and in control and working even i lost the left one?

Thanks for this very informative video. it's still relevant in 2022. I was looking for a solution to workaround this issue. Anyway it's sad engineering/software design to not be able to use Google Assistant while using only the left earbud. :/
