Technically this format is even more Gerald Undone that regular Gerald Undone videos. This is Gerald Undone Undone...

If this is, "off the cuff" It's still more comprehensive and useful than most review content... Thanks Gerald!
I think you should start a series called "Quick Take:" or something similar. That way you feel free to make the quicker videos different, and the viewers know when they click on a video without that title, they're still going to get the extreme detail 100% of the time. Both preserves the brand and gives you freedom.

Gerald Unscripted would also be a good series name, to match the undone idea lol.

Yeah I also think it's pretty important that it's clear from the title what kind of video it is
"I'm Gerald Undone and I don't have time for this."
I really appreciate how fast he get down to business. 5-second hook, 4-second theme song, 4 second non-sequitur, and then straight onto the topic. Just long enough to get my attention and to adjust my thinking mode for Gerald Undone absorption. He does not waste my time. It's respect for the audience.

I really like this style actually. You are still doing in depth work, but you are so good at this that the difference between scripted and un-scripted isn't that much, IMHO.

I agree with you, Jack. I watch Gerald's reviews all the time and didn't notice big difference. Maybe it's because he has solid workflow and this is applied to everything he does.
Gerald, you can talk about your average morning routine for 30 minutes and i'd be happy to watch it and gives it a thumbs up!

Superb content. Off the cuff style works very well. Thanks for the info.
Quick, timely content like this is always appreciated. Keep them coming.
Love the fact you can do these small videos so we have more information about new products. Thanks for trying this new format and I hope you continue doing it!
I always look forward to your videos. A casual approach to the content is still very appreciated. Thanks for the work you do.
Appreciate the time you put for testing and happy to watch this style of video. Keep the good work!
Yes! These videos are great! Still so much value and undone enough to watch haha
I really enjoy these overview type videos as they alert me to things I may not have considered or know about yet. Also sometimes the longer videos just go over my head at my skill level and knowledge base - less can be more sometimes but really it's your overall communication style that works for me.
I love this style of videos !!!
Thanks for addressing the 35/1.8 at the end! Lol I was wondering about that the entire time.
@nafnaf0

It really needs a side by side comparison to 40mm. I am not convinced the 35mm F1.8 is sharper by any means. He might be coming at from using it more as a video lens than a photo lens. Sure the F1.8 is faster, but it is not very sharp for its first two stops
I personally love to hear your thoughts regardless of if you have time to a "full review" or not! Even in these shorter(lol at a 15min video being short) videos you offer a great perspective on things! Maybe to help people understand which type of video you are able to do, you could implement a system similar to MKBHD and do a something similar to his "first impressions" videos, which are somewhat understood by the public to be less of a deep dive than his "full review" videos. Just some thoughts! LOVE your content! Can't overstate how much you've taught me!
Yes I appreciate these smaller videos as well thanks Gerald
Gerald, another great video! I like this format as well as your more in-depth reviews.
Always perfect, Gerald. love this new format with you rambling but with knowledge. I'd say it's a win for me:)
Thanks for the video. Very useful. Was considering the 24mm...
Definitely appreciate this format ❤
Third format is awesome! I’ll always take more content from you, and a format that allows you to inject more of your personality is always appreciated!!!!
I am a new subscriber specifically because of your quick/hot take on these new lenses. Saved me time and got to the meat of it. I like the cadence of speeding through the specs and comparison with minimal time wasted. A lot of information and quick. Thanks man!
I moved away from full frame years ago because lugging a DSLR and the glass was killing my back. I moved back to FF because mirrorless cameras are so much smaller these days... and with glass like these lenses I'm a happy camper once more. Happy with your alternative presentation style too 😁
You're a natural Gerald, great quick review, not boring watched it all and would watch more. Thanks!
Love this style of video man. Keep it up.
I like the conversational style...I like your other videos the way they are done, but I appreciate being able to see your thinking instead of just your super smartness...both are helpful!
Love your video content...period. Fwiw, I like this new approach.
Mate, you're probably the best KZreadr here right now for Sony E mount camera and lens reviews. No fluff, no click-baiting bull crap and honest, solid reviews with great comparisons and great examples of the strengths and weaknesses of each lens you come across. You're the first and also the last person I go to when I want to know about something. Whatever your choices wrt your vids, I'll be here for them. :) :)
Love this format!
Gerald - I love getting more videos with what you seem to think is less polish. You're still giving the amazing in-depth info that I'm looking for from your videos, and your delivery is warmer and more approachable. I love the more polished videos, too. but I actually prefer this.
Hey hey, this is the first of your videos I’ve watched. Subscribed right away!! Keep the content rolling!!
Love this format tbh. Thanks.
It was radical and informative! Keep them coming!
This was great man, definitely wouldn't mind seeing more of this type of videos. Cheers!
Thank you for the quick info.
Love it keep making them
Hi GERALDO!!! Love the new format. Keep Doing and I will keep watching.
Love the more relaxed format, please keep it up!
I have a lot more respect for reviewers and your reviews in particular after watching MKBHDs iPhone hour long review. I understand the pressure of feeling the need to release a video at the lift of the embargo. I think this video and these style of videos have more than enough information and I’d love to see more similar videos in the future! However, I don’t want the pressure from these videos affect the depth of a classic Undone video.
Great video, love to see more of those quick test like this one.
Love these style of videos. Perfect video because I’m looking to get these lenses and love your reviews on all content.
Great stuff as always!
Love that you make these. I'd suggest you keep doing this. But please keep making your in dept reviews.
Love the format. I think it's a nice mixup for the content
This was great!
Love these!
Your, quickly thrown together, video is better and more detailed than most people's in-depth analysis. Absolutely love the idea of some of these quick thoughts videos.
I like these simplified reviews 👍🏼
Yes to the quick and dirty 'I don't have time for that' video! We have lives to live too. Thanks, G!
Yeah, love these types of vids
I like this new format. Definitely keep it going. 👍
Direct and to the point - love it
So good video man keep going
Super helpful, thank you!
I absolutely love this format. I think that your random thoughts about the equipment are way more useful to an average consumer of such lenses than the very scientific comparisons. I think it’d work out great if you had your precise scripted etc comparisons for pro cinema gear that requires that level of detail and you could make those quick rant videos about consumer/prosumer gear. I love your videos, your style etc and I’d love to see you review things like budget APS-C gear for example.
Bro you’re killing it with the uploads! Really appreciate all you do Gerald 🤟 and these compact lenses are very intriguing. As far as the 24mm is concerned I’d prob rather get the 20mm F1.8 G lens and spent a couple hundred more for it.
More of these is great. Nice work. Thanks
I like this new format 👍 As a complement to your normal videos. Thanks for your brilliant videos, your are doing great 😎👍😊
This is great and informative yappin' over a group of lenses that needed sorting from just the man I want to hear from.
These quick videos are better than no Gerald Undone videos at all. Thanks!
Bro your videos are always good! I love these unscripted ones! I will always watch them! Thanks for the great information as always
Apologizing for his video format when he could fart into the mic and it still be 10x better than most film channels is peak Canadian energy and I love it.

this made me chuckle lol just imagining him farting into the mic for for the whole video
Thank you for doing the "quick" video & review. I do enjoy this style video...
This is the most funny intro I've ever watch. Thanks, Gerald! 💙✨
Your heavy duty videos are always very good. But this was really nice seeing you be more casual, and just going for it!
Quick or not, it's a great video! Keep 'em coming Gerald!!
Great video, I'm always down for a rant! I like that you did a wide array of comparison of similar lenses and included another manufacturer. Please continue doing these quickies and maybe consider revamping some of the past that were singular lens reviews to do these rant lineups.
Any info from Gerald Undone is gold. No matter what the format. ☺️ Thank you for your hard work!
Actually the most helpful review so far 👍
This really worked for me. Good information, good visuals. I'd gladly take more of these. Cheers.
I loved this. I appreciate your time and expertise on new kit! Don't mind the unscripted style at all!
You have been the go to for the in depth videos which we all love. You are human and I appreciate you thinking about us little guys. This video spoke to me as I just bought the A7C and am looking at lens options. This type of video I appreciate as well keep it up.
Tx! You mentioned the 35mm 1.8, but what about the 55mm 1.8? You can get it at a good price right now.
I love this kind of undone style, its more simple yet much informative than many of those reviewer out there. I think done it once in a while is a good thing
Great Idea with the format! Take care of yourself
Really liked this format.
Well done and very useful. Please continue 🙂
Interesting! Nice review. ✌️
It's not ranting when you're giving when you're giving useful info! Thanks!
I really like this style of video for you! Feels much more conversational and entertaining. You seem much more energetic! Definitely ditch the script more often! :)
Yes please keep it up!
Cool, I appreciate these (still) very insightful videos. Applying the pareto principle.
Awesome , keep doing these . Not fussed about them being less polished.
A "quick" video from you is still over 15 minutes, so no complaints here! Love all the content you provide, regardless of length.
Thanks for field curvature mention!
Great review and thanks for adding the sigma for comps. Got all the points I need
Well done as usual. Very smart.
It was indeed a great video dud ❤️👊
I got exactly what I wanted to know from this video; these are not the lenses I’ve been waiting for! Also, I now have no desire to watch any other videos on these lenses so that was a huge time saver for me. Thanks Gerald
More Gerald is always a yes! Your insight is always a huge dealmaker or breaker for me when I'm looking to buy new gear so I'm all for more info from your end.
Hey Gerald, what rgb lights did you use to light the lenses in your thumbnail? It looks amazing!
Yes Liked the video, thanks a lot!!!
Gerald, I'm new to your channel and enjoying every second....even the technical stuff that goes over my head. Building my first home studio right now and prepping for Amazon Live. With the help from your channel and others, I'm hoping to get out of the gate looking professional.
This has been the most useful video comparing the lenses I was planning to buy. Very thorough.
I'd certainly encourage you to do more of these. Yes, when it comes to putting down several $k for a camera, I love the thorough reviews. But, here you captured the key data and interpretation for a lens purchase decision. Thanks and keep them coming!
Awesome! I like this style and it is still more detailed than others.
Thanks for this. You've always done just fine with ad hoc, GD - I concur that speed is frequently the currency of YT reveiws, especially at embargo lift time;
I think this style of video is totally fine and still helpful for us, I would say keep making them as and when they fit the schedule if you like, no complaints from me
