If you prefer a warm sound, no deep bass, with less detail and clarity, the XV900 is a good option. 😧

Is 710 on new firmware 1.31.0, is there any difference in sound compared to old firmware?

Thx for comparison between 710 & 900. I saw Sony 900 at Bestbuy today. It's very big & bulky but no JBL 710 on display. Base on this video comparison I'll buy 710 even though I like the 6 tweeters from Sony very much.

Considering that the xv900 is portable, it does a nice job keeping up with the jbl 710. It would really be some serious competition if Sony stepped up their bass game.

As big as the XV900 and as huge as the woofer is, it's really kind of a disappointment for bass output. And the Sony just doesn't have the clarity and detail in the upper range. It may have a battery, but I don't think the huge XV900 is the speaker you would throw in the car and take on a picnic. 😆

@@PracticeMakesPaper If you are referring to the Sony, absolutely. I used same settings for custom EQ as in previous videos. Nearly maxed out bass and maxed out treble, with increased mids, as well.

Two of the same can run TWS. If your phone supports dual audio output you can run the Sony and the JBL together.

Yo tengo la jbo pero la 310 si se escucha bien pero quería una más grande para una fiesta estaba mirando la jbl y la sony la sony la mire en Best Buy y es grandísima pero no se si se escuche bien o si se pueden conectar las dos al mismo tiempo así tendría base y calidad de sonido

Harman know what they are doing, the larger the diafragm, the lower the quality. Harman demonstrate that is better to have the hardest material, stronger magnets, and more heat disipation. Thats why they are leading.

Wouldnt say it down to any of that at all they just simply know how to tune there ports for there speakers whilst sony tends to just put ports wherever you can make any speaker sound good with the correct tuning

Me and my cousin have both of them basically shorty story long Sony is SLIGHTLY louder JBL bass is more better by 10 percent which is not a huge gap but it’s noticeable. JBL cheaper Sony more expensive Clearly the winner is JBL I still like my Sony speaker tho. Im just stating facts here tho.

I really like the overall Sony signature sound. But ALL the Sony speakers simply don't dig the deep bass frequencies, and that's really ridiculous to a big party speaker and unacceptable to my ears. So for me, the bass and deep bass in JBL is 100% better than this Sony.

@@pedrongoka1759 Yes, I like the sound of the Sony speakers, but unfortunately there's no Sony speakers that can reach deep bass frequencies. The best of the deep bass we can found just in JBL speakers, and that's why I prefer JBL, cause so many music's can go low in the bass, like 35Hz or 30Hz easily! And a speaker like Sony, that can't give me these frequencies, it's just inadmissible to my ears.

@@ivanzuniga107 pues es eso las barras de sonido no están enfocadas para escuchar las cosas con detalle son sonidos cinemáticos no tiene nada que ver con la fidelidad de lo que se quiere mostrar . Mis orejeras son de estudio de hi-fi manejas todas las frecuencias y son para usarlas en críticas de sonido . Perdón si pareciera que lo ofendo pero no es así de echo se lo digo porque tengo donde compara todas estas cosas en vivo y pues creeme que cuando le digo que una cosa es mejor que otra es porque es así ahora si a usted le gusta más sony esta bien yo respeto su decisión pero no comparto su percepción de las cosas . SONY no tiene comparación Siempre va a ser mejor que jbl. Sin sonar mal, el jbl se destaca más por la luces que por el sonido. En cambio, SONY se destaca casi en todo, menos en las luces en este modelo. Pero suena espectacular. SONY de todas maneras.

At mid volume, like in this video, the Sony may have a slight output edge. When you go higher in volume and to max volume the JBL is louder. Check out the video I did of the XV900 and the PB710 head to head.😉
