I have a Sony XB21 and i love....i even play guitar with distortion pedals on it. Very fun.

If you download the Sony Music player and adjust the sound with the equalizer, you would have gotten a way better sound level with the XB21.

I think most of the comments are from people who doesn't had heard in person, just through their smartphone, or pc, or whatever they use, and have to say rhat KZread videos doesn't have the real sound also. If you really want to know wich of both is better, you have to play them in front of you and check, maybe at stores, like i did, and i have to say that there's no comparison between sony and jbl. Jbl flip4 sounds much better than the sony, even the bigger model. Is for real, those comparisons people do in youtube is so far from reality, it losses a lot of frequencies, and then more changes because the device you see the video through, you don't ear the REAL sound of the device. Go and check at the stores

I've heard both devices personally too and I think the sony sounds better. I'm not an audiophile though so I guess that it just comes down to personal preference.

In Bulgaria you can by 2 XB21s (one costs about 50-60 Euros) for the price of one JBL Flip 4 (1 of these costs ~120 Euros). It's not even a fair comparison if we take that into account. You could try testing 2 XB21s against a Flip 4, lol.

I have tried them in personal with a friend and when i told him if he could hear any difference he only said jbl is a little louder but overall from close they are pretty much same plus you can easily change hiw sony sounds from the app and xb21 is cheaper

You can adjust the eq with sony app on the xb21

Got JBL and swapped it to Sony xb21. With .flac or 320 kbps tracks , JBL sound is distorted and bass is just a mistake. Only Sony.

Tomasz Angewaire you can turn off the low frequency mod on JBL for stop hear distorted sound. JBL has better sound. Quality and clear music.

Which is BETTER flip 3 or xb 21

I have the 2 boxes (Flip 4 and SRS XB21), Sony wins, but the difference is 10% maximum thing. Both Sony and JBL are fantastic. The two boxes have a great sound, my last purchase turned out to be sony because the price was better in the day.

If i had to chose - i would definatlytake the XB 20 (!). Sounds way better and cleaner than the Flip 4 and more powerful than the XB21. For ~ 60 € you can get no better BT-Speaker at the moment. Between Flip 4 and XB21 i would chose the sony. Both sounds nearly similar, but the JBL can't skip Tracks backward ?!? want to hear a song again? No option to control that on the device. Epic fail. Hi buddy, Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked the video:-). I agree the XB20 has a pretty decent sound. Regarding the Flip 4 vs XB21 I would rather choose the flip 4 and mainly because I am not happy with the battery life of the XB21. It can only play music for 2 hours at maximum volume then the battery level fell under 20% and it starts limiting the volume.

Wow, I did not know that, thanks for this information! For a speaker in 2018 this is of course a no go. So both luxury scrap (ok, exaggerated ...) for 100 euros / dollar ... Then you would have to choose the flip 4 of course, and live with the operation and the sound - 100 dollars / euro is still too much I think ... Apart from the fact that I do not have to decide between the two, I'm really glad that I have the XB 20. Have just ordered the XB30. As long as it still gives for about 90 euros, I just have to strike ... OK, not waterproof, but heh, I want to hear music, do not dive with the device. Splashproof is enough for me. And that should sound not only better than the XB21 (and louder and stronger than the XB20) but also as the XB31. Let's see if the sound also beats my Doss XL. Its low bass is absolutely incredible, and the part costs only 90 euros. Unfortunately, not really outdoortauglich, but for indoors, properly positioned, almost hi-fi. I'm curious and looking forward to the XB30 - and enjoy until then the Doss XL and the XB20. Greetings from Austria :)!

You want punchier base, better high and mids go for jbl. Want overall balanced sound go for Sony.

Overall balanced is the JBL, sony has muffled mids and highs, bass is somewhat muffled due to the waterproof casing.

Comparison is not accurate. You should do at 60% and 100% volume to see who has better mids and highs. Old XB20 has better highs than flip 4. To me they sound equal but Sony seems lil better. I’ve the flip 4

In Romania flip 4 is double the price of the xb21 so...

Szia! Mind a kettő maximális hangerőn volt tesztelve és nincs gond a Sony hangerejével, nem gondolnám, hogy a JBL hangosabb, egyszerűen csak a közép gyenge a Sony-n. Még egyszer mondom ez csak az én személyes véleményem, de nekem pont a kiegyensúlyozottsággal van bajom: sok magas, kevés közép és viszonylag rendben lévő mély. Térhangzásban nem hiszem, hogy bármi különbség lenne a két hangszóró között.

@@isurubenaragama4942 True. I bought Sony just yesterday after listening and comparing with Jbl. To be honest Jbl sounds little clean and better. But tad better. Jbl was way too expensive for just tad better. So I went for sony as overall Sony is better with very less price compare to Jbl. Who would spend too much extra for just tad better sound. So I'm wise like those other wise people who chose Sony. To be honest if the price is similar I would have chosen Jbl. Flip4 is overpriced. By the way I bought Sony for 6k and Jbl was 8.5k. in Indian ₹
