Same. It's funny but I still learn new things every week. The phone is full of suprizes. It has such an amazing camera sometimes I slip and say "hey can you grab my camera" and I'm talking about the Xperia 1V

Thumbs up for actually covering DSF, I found several videos that covered how it sounded but did not cover supported audio formats for the phone

@@TUXXREVIEWS Don't happen to know of a place to get a list of Phones that a support DSF?. I have ripped a couple of my SACDs into files and moved them to the Phone for listening. I prefer the headphone jack as well. I have an LG V60, but with dropped support, I need to replace the phone at some point (I already had to replace the back plate).

Really interesting comparison, it would be good to hear more about how the sound compares between Sony DAPs and Sony phones. Have you tested playing a FLAC file on both the A306 and Xperia 1 V (using DSEE Extreme/Ultimate)?

I may do a deeper dive into this subject. I do use the same flac ( and other ) music flies on both players. I have one hd music collection (mostly flac) and a 2nd music collection in mp3 320. I should note despite format (mp3, flac or better) not all music flies are equal. One may be ripped better or the source material be a better recorded version. There really is allot of things to consider / take into account. I find using DSEE great on the Xperia 1 V but due to their features often leave off on the NW-A306. Also the NW-A306 has different features available based on the type (wired or wireless) headphones your using.

2 questions 1) What's the max size card can the nw-a306 use? 2) Can the nw-a306 display cover art for all audio formats?

I wonder where you get all the hi-res file from. Do I have to pay to get it? Thank you

The Helm DB12aaamp is an absolute must for both of these devices. Very pleased with the results.

depends on resistance in headphones. Also the phone is louder than nw-a306

Is it supported with aptx on sony walkman?

On Sonys website it says yes. Its not a common question so some NW-A306 tech specs doesnt list it but sony says YES

On first listen my xperia 1 is quite warm and a bit muted on the highs compared to my WM1A, but then again I've only used one iem on it and it's a multi BA pair too.

I just want that tape lock screen/media player......

I totaly get this, Its an amazing bonus feature. I love the way it changes the name on the cassete as well. So cool!

I have zéro problem to listen to dsd files on my Xperia 1 V or my Samsung. I also have the nw-zx505 player ( and other dap from A&K, Fiio) but screen is too small to replicate the audio cassette expérience screen.

(DSF) YERAYCITO MASTER SERIES V is what wont play - I will further test and follow up. I really think DSF files should play. interesting but not working for me.
