I just finished adding the thermal padding and it was so worth it but man the worst part was at 37:58 that blue ribbon took so long to put back in. I recorded a video for 21 minutes no problem. Thank you for this very informative video and the help.

Hellow, nice video, how long sony nex 7 have thermal pad modif, record video? In normal i can record 29.59m and than can record again about 2 our 5 minute but all have logo notif heating, in record second that camera shut down otomatic. Thanks berore

What is the millimeter size you used for the thermal pads? Do you think 1.5mm it's enough? Thank you for sharing it!

I can’t remember but for sure it was 1.5 or 2 mm

you should have a service to fix the heating issue for the Nex7

Thank you for the video but after I unscrew everything from the outside I still can't open the top like you did at 8:13. I can barely lift from the top right but it is still too tight. I feel like I am going to break something if I try to force it. Was it the same for you?

Lift The Xenon flasher and dint forghet in the battery section its another screw

@@claustile5122 I figured it out it was the shoe mount protector I forgot to remove it. Thank you for replying.

just did mine as had to sort the memory slot as it was not reading cards, and as i had it to bits anyway be worth doing but now it comes up with its over heating all the time!! just after turning it on!! bugger lol so god knows whats going on with it now as it was fine before.

If you check on Ebay search termal pads you will find it there

So you would prefer a good microphone instead of a Clean HDMI? Do you knbow of a way to get a clean HDMI on the NEX-7

@@claustile5122 I have all thecables and Adaptors but No Clean HDMI, So what I am asking is how do I get a Clean HDMI? When I set up for streaming all the digital stats come across in my streams. Likie battery power, screen brightness etc. Is there a way to turn these things off?

Why do yousay this camera is good for youtubers? It doesnt have a clean HDMI!

Because of the Microphone port it’s really hard for a camera to have a decent microphone
