even I thought that miguel could be an inheritor, because he felt like one, but more than that..spider verse was famous because of its villains, but neither disney nor sony has used them till now, so I guess sony will finally use inheritors, as it also says "inspired by spider man comics" at the end of the movie, and introducing the inheritors would give a great scope and scale to this universe, which means more add ups to the franchise, more movies, more money..

According to me. The Canon event is not for Peter Parker but for spiderman. That's why even tho miles was not meant to become a Spiderman. He became one and thus has to face his canon event. The peter Parker, who died as a spiderman in Miles universe also probably faced his canon event of losing his uncle Ben that's why we only see aunt may in the first part of the movie.

Hence the name ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE And the third movie is named BEYOND THE SPIDERVERSE. Which means we are going to see something outside of the spiderverse pretty much what mohit said about inheritors at 8:24 So yeah. It's possible that inheritors are the main villian of the trilogy

Apart from your two theories, I personally think that there will be a third plot in Spider-Man: BTSV regarding Evil Miles from Earth-42 who has now become the Prowler of his universe. Significant amount of movie will probably show a fight scene between the Gwen's Team, Miles and the Prowler.

The post-credit scene theory of Miguel doesn't make sense. Do you think that throughout 5 years nothing would change about his character? Obviously.

na I don't think miguel bad, he's just trying to do the right trade, saving more people and I think spot is not just a killing dad device, and there could be inheritors miguel could easily have been shown to be evil, i don't think the writing is that sloppy that they'd have to use the reveal that he's not spiderman I think through miguel they tried to show the struggle of having to choose that even though he holds such power he feels helpless and turns cold to the point of micro managing all the other spider people I think it's really beautiful charcter building and if they find a way to bypass canon events or find a way to manage it, miguel will be the first person to be happy and honestly I found all his rage to be out of self righteousness and TBH he's the only one to experience the devastation, so nobody can empathise every spider person copes with humor but miguel copes with control and micro managing the entire spiderverse i saw good in Mr 99

Spot will join hands with Miles and Gwen's team to help them teleport to different universes without the help of Miguel's device. Maybe Earth 42 Prowler Miles and Earth 1610 Spider-Man Miles are branches of the same universe as in two possibilities based on two choices much like Dr. Strange's split personalities in What If series. And this splitting could be a result of Madame Web's interference in order to stop this fake Spider-Man 2099 vampire.

I had a question as well, on the train fight Miguel says to Miles "You are an anomaly, you were never supposed to be bit, you are the reason spot was created", If spot was created due to an anomaly i.e Miles becoming spiderman which was not supposed to be a canon event, then how can this anomaly be the cause of a canon event in Mumbattan? If spot was never supposed to be created, the building in mumbattan would never fall, and Inspector Singh wouldn't die, which in itself is disruption of a canon event. Is this a loophole?

I was rewatching Spiderman Into the Spider-verse and Spiderman Across the Spider-verse and I observed one thing that I didn't earlier, in first movie Peter B Parker said "Spider-Man doesn't wear a cape"...and in second movie we are introduced with Spider-Man 2099 wearing a cape. He didn't even needed a cape or uses it elsewhere in the whole movie...Is he an imposter...A vampire!

I think so mephisto will be the main villan in the end because the whole thing is lot red .. plus wanda may help Peter to destroy the spider verse just like what happened in rick and morty ....

Loved the moviee , One of the best . Even I had the same feeling tht miguel O' Hara is not even feeling like spiderman , whatever dark turn happens in spidermans life , spiderman feels like spiderman , for eg . Andrews spiderman , he feels like spiderman after the dark events or canon events but miguel doesnt feel like tht , he feels evil, and mostly I guess hes gonna be the main villian in beyond the spiderverse...

That's why his cannon event disrupted and Miguel (Across the Spiderverse) started to live life of Miguel (Into the Spiderverse) to maintain the Multiverse but he then failed to do that as he has some other plans for himself.

Imagine, miles and his team somehow defeat spot, saving his dad but then Miguel himself kills Miles dad just for the sake of canon.

So inheritors feed Spidermen as they are pure totems. And here we have a pavitr in the team. Your point makes sense.

My theory is that the 2099 we saw in into the spiderverse is dead as maybe he accidentally travelled past the spiderverse and entered the inheritors universe and got killed and morlun took his face like in the flash series and is impersonating as Miguel and slowly consuming Spidermen one by one

I would like to add to your theory. Tell me if you agree. Spot will join hands with Miles and Gwen's team to help them teleport to different universes without the help of Miguel's device. Maybe Earth 42 Prowler Miles and Earth 1610 Spider-Man Miles are branches of the same universe as in two possibilities based on two choices much like Dr. Strange's split personalities in What If series. And this splitting could be a result of Madame Web's interference in order to stop this fake Spider-Man 2099 vampire.
