I am also having this home theatre system IV300. This system is good for playing movies, not intend for enjoying music for lovers. I have one more 15 years old Sony MHC-RV888D music system which sounds better than IV-300. But playing a movie, IV300 is superb especially file encoded in 5.1 DTS or Dolby digital. Coming on to Technics, that brand is well known for audio equipment under Panasonic, now Panasonic has limited Technics brand for turntable systems. Not only IV-300, almost all 5.1 component system won;t be sounding as a Boom Box unit, Old Sony's /National Panasonic /Aiwa units are way superior than the current music system available (what ever be the brand).

That's true... Home theatre systems are never been good for music. I have the same experience with Bose am 10/yamaha rxv750 unit which I bought in 2006.

hey thanks for the video, do you suggest the IV300 or is a soundbar better? are there any better 5.1 systems in 20k range? I think the IV300 is good for movies, for music a 2.1 system will always be better.

Aux, Blue tooth, CD, Pen drive ഒക്കെ സപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യും, 220 W RMS. 14990 രൂപയായി. കുഴപ്പമില്ലെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു, Audio System വർക്കിങ്ങിനെ അത്ര ഡീറ്റെയിൽ ആയി വിലയിരുത്താൻ എനിക്ക് അറിയില്ല. ജിതിൻ പറ്റുവാണെങ്കിൽ ഇതിന്റെ ഒരു റിവ്യൂ ഇടാമോ, എനിക്ക് 5.1 Home theatre set ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ വല്യ താൽപര്യമില്ല. Yes boss, old is gold. I am also looking for a amp that can perform like 90s type amp plus preamp combo! I spent around 2 lakh for some avr and tower speakers,but results very bad. So I am tired searching and spending money for a amp. Finally I bought iv-300. According to me I've is better than my 80k Onkyo avr. It is giving good amount of punchy, tight and strong bass.

Technics is an original Japanese brand I mean " Made in Japan " but new sony might be Made in China. So the quality is quite obvious

iv 300 - you get all type of connectivity options with medium sound quality. its like a budget av reciver with speakers. for better sound out put try another models of sony or get another brand
