Hi I am Emiel Keultjes and this review is about the Sony FX30 and the Sony 10-20mm G F4 power zoom lens. How it performs in low light and if it is cinematic.

I love the Phantom luts for my colorgrading work. They really let the image come to live and are really accurate on skin tones.

This looks great , everyone putting their settings to the highest quality and wanting the 1.4 aperture and you knocked this out of the park , footage looks great !!

Your “worst” fx30 shots are among the nicest 10-20 f4 shots I’ve ever seen. And they were even test shots. Looks like you put a lot of respect into everything you were shooting.

A big hug for this "bad mistake", because it shows us, or rather you show us with it, that the technical image quality has the least value on the fascination scale. It's always a matter of the overall package. This is also the reason why I'm the owner of this camera kit since a few days, although I've been shooting and photographing only with full frame for many years: because I work almost only handheld, and am often hindered in my ideas by the heavy lenses and cameras, so that I've been mostly using the big iPhone for the last two years. But there I just miss that little bit of bokeh that I want in an atmospheric image. I've tested the FX30 here only indoors so far, but I've gotten to know it very well in the meantime (e.g. try the wipe gesture from the bottom of the monitor to the top to call up the quick menu), and I'm looking forward to the first shoot with that camera with my model Annika. Thanks for your nice little movie. One feels a lot of love in it, and that's all that matters. Best regards from Munich! Val Mont

If you get exposure/color right then 8 bit can be OK - but don't try to push any color correction/looks on it!!!

The colors are very nice out of the camera and of course with colorgrading and using luts you can go where your imagination takes you 🤩

@@emielkeultjes I’ll be tuning in for more. I had fun with my FX30 during the new stage, now it’s doing duty as my talking head camera while the A7RV gets put through it’s paces. How do you like the 10-20 f4? I went with the 16-35 f4 PZ, 11mm 1.8 and 15mm 1.4, the primes have been good in low light.

Love to hear that! The i like the most is the tiny size of the 10-20! But i have so other lensen like the 35mm 1.8 fullframe and that gives much more creaminess 😋 i will do so more comparisons with different lenses later 😉
Did you shoot in S-Cinetone? Maybe the lack of bit depth isn't that bad, when shooting with an almost graded profile? But I assume you won't shoot in 4:2:0 8 bit again, no matter what 😅

Well this was shot in slog3..so i am quite amazed how it holds up 🤩 Its not my preferred choose 😂 But i want see what it can do now..it made me more and more interested.. And i am a little overwhelmed with a the reaction I got. It seems that a lot of people are curious😊 Now just need to find time for a new vid 😅

Fo the walk footage It’s the “Visionteal A7s3 legacy” one..and the talkinghead the neutral but both colorgraded a little bit. Sorry for my late response! Thnx for watching!
