One could assume that it should be possible to record at least 25p and 30p on V60 memory cards in ALL-I... you can not. Sony has built in an artificial limitation that is not present in more expensive cameras like the FX6. Sony's own SF-M series of UHS-II V60 memory cards are affected for example - but I strongly assume that all V60 cards are as well.
Comparable problems also seem to occur with the following cameras: FX30, A7s3, A7iv

Great explanation and frustrating results. Subscribed right away
This is very frustrating. Just got an fx30 and imagine my surprise that my v90 dosent work 😮 I can record in all my other cams, external recorders, ProRes HQ & braw at 3.1 but this damn Sony won't work so I have to drop quality 😑

This is my biggest frustration with Sony a74
I have an FX6 and FX3… this drives me nuts!!! It’s perfectly fine on the FX6, the FX3 is crippled. It’s also not worthy of a the “cinema line” title. Doesn’t even have a waveform!? Shutter angle?!

On the other hand, for example, the FX3 has more codec options and more possibilities to name the clips... it is interesting that it always changes which camera has the best features. Sometimes it’s the more expensive camera, sometimes it’s the newer camera. Let’s hope that Sony will be a little more generous in the future with firmware updates to make the good cameras great
