Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 (2010) | Vintage Tech Showcase | Retro Review
Ғылым және технология
In this video I showcase the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 from 2010. The Xperia X10 was released at a time when phones were in a state of change, the iPhone 4 was out, camera technology was being revolutionized with the Nokia N8 Camera..etc. The X10 on the other hand was an all round upper mid range android Phone which ran Android 1.6 Donut initially and then was upgraded to Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread. I bought this X10 for a low price as apart from looking amazing, it had a touchscreen issue which I had to fix in a different repair video which you can find on my channel. Its also not considered as a rare collectors item but since I am phone collector with a massive phone collection, and cause I wanted this phone back in 2010, I decided to get it anyways. I will also do a Using the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 in 2021 video or a Xperia X10 2021 or Sony Ericsson in 2021. Also Older Android in 2021. So lets take a closer look at the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 here in 2021! #Sony #XperiaX10 #SonyEricsson

What a very surprisingly great quality old gem you found! These phones are usually severely damaged at this age. Well found!
I got this phone in summer of 2010, it was legendary, probably one of the only phones I've ever had that literally felt like a different/new phone model with each Android update. Does anyone remember when the phone first came out with Android 1.6, it was horrible - those first few months, I really wasn't impressed, but 2.1 came along and transformed it - giving multi-touch support at last. Then 2.3 came along (which was looking unlikely because Sony didn't even release 2.2 on it, until they caved in in the summer of 2011 and released it) and the phone suddenly felt a lot faster. I absolutely loved this phone.

Exactly my experience too. It was horrible before the update, very slow with horrible battery life. It was a much better phone after the update. I have great memories using it.

The X10 was my first Android phone. I remember how effective the updates were but a part of me always liked the thin 1.6 notification bar over the slightly thicker 2.1 bar (but either way was glad I never had to experience the default ugly white bar that Android had at the time). I seem to recall it only got dual-touch though, rather than full multi-touch, right? I still have the phone around somewhere, though it currently doesn't boot up. I wonder if I could try and get it working again but it might need another battery or to stay plugged in for ages assuming it would even respond at all.
Have a white one myself. It was my very first Xperia android.

Mine as well 😊
My first smartphone, bought it when I started working. It became slower and slower after each update and in the end it was really delayed on the touchscreen so I changed to an iPhone 4 and since then always stayed with Apple

I so wanted this phone, but didn't have the budget. I bought the Sony Eriksson C905 which was by then out of production and on sale. C905 was my last dumb phone.
I remember this and i owned it when i was 4 you brought back memories with that green thing in the back
Love you video.by the way, miss my old Sony xperia x 10 mini pro
my first smartphone
Excellent vid thank you. I owned this phone in white from launch for around a year. Timescape was a featured pushed in ads and was one of the reasons I purchased. In all honesty it didn’t work very well and I ended up removing it from the Home Screen. It lagged and didn’t pull pictures through as it should. Maybe one in three. The GPS was poor with navigation unusable and the battery life was not good. On saying all that, it was still a great phone at the time and was one of, if not the best looking from the era.
awesome video
i have one of these that i got new, in 2010ish maybe? i powered it up yesterday, it took 2 days to charge to full and now its working. just needs a SIM!
Great video and the sound of your voice was excellent through my headphones. What microphone do you use?
