    This camera is for high level productions. Wedding guys and middle of the road creators with not the highest quality demands will stay happy with a fx6.

    It's a great camera for high level productions! I couldn't imagine wedding videographers investing into multiple Burano's unless they are on the super high end wedding production. I still love my FX6 and am excited to see what a version 2 will look like down the road.

    I hardly ever shoot 120fps so the crop is not a big deal. This is a doc/wildlife cinema camera beast.

    Questions: Can the SmallHD monitor's camera control function be used on Sony Burano? And how many chances Burano will be added X-OCN ST or X-OCN XT image modes in the future firmware upgrade? Thank you!

    i'm only a min in so i'm sure you'll address this but it seems like a stunning camera, can't wait til they're at a price i can afford... at least now i know we'll be getting NDs and IBIS in that form factor, could bode well for the FX6ii or w/e succeeds the FX6... i do wonder what they're gonna do re the Cine line and the A7S

    I think with Sony, if you have patience, they will trickle down all these high end features to the lower tier cameras. We've seen that with the recent A7C2 and A7CR. Affordable is relative though 😉 Thanks for watching!

    The Burano is an absolute beast & It’s the dream camera for run & gun single shooters. The Burano has all the bells & whistles that the fx6 & fx9 users hoped for. . The Fx6 is cheap & looks & feels like a toy but you get what you pay for & no more. I own fx9 & A7s111 & often use the fx6 on shoots and when comparing the cameras the fx9 is by far a superior camera with beautiful images. The fx9’s sensor with dual iso is amazing in every way & it shoots beautiful images in low light with absolutely no noise. The current price of Burano is two & a half times the price of the fx9. I would love to own this Burano but for the price I don’t think so.

    It's interesting you say the FX6 feels like a toy. I've heard that a couple of times, but I have mine all rigged out and it doesn't feel like a toy. I guess everyone has different expectations! The price of the Burano might place it out of reach for my needs, but I'm excited to see it's tech trickle down into an FX6 II.

    I still feel like the FX6 would be a better documentary camera with the 800/12,800 dual base iso. Sony's main selling point to me is the 8.6K recording and RAW.

  • @YourStoryStudios

    @YourStoryStudios

    9 ай бұрын

    Yes, I think you're right. I don't need RAW for any of my current projects. XAVC-I 10-bit 4K is all that's required. But having VND and IBIS would be a welcome addition.

  • @1MarcVD

    @1MarcVD

    @@YourStoryStudiosif you really want the combination of VND and stabilisation you can always use Catalyst software for the FX6. That goes together with a crop factor. But I guess it would be the same for the IBIS/electronic stabilisation of the Burano.

  • @MuonVideo

    Did I read this right, that the $25K Burano camera is capable of 4K 120P at Super-35? The FX6 can do UHD 4K 120P Full Frame. That's kinda nuts, haha.

    That 4k 120 is going to look amazing with a super 35 crop. Still going to be down sampled due to the resolution of the cropped portion of the sensor. It would be kind of insane in 2023 to down sample 8.6k to 4K 120 IMO. I’d much rather have the S35 crop and a beautiful image, than full frame but line skipping and pixel binning resulting in softer, noisier footage.

    The Super35 crop mode is a 1:1 readout as I understand it. 17 x 9 mm sensor real estate. So it's "cropped down" from Super35 (which in itself is a crop of the fullframe sensor). Therefore no downsampling when shooting more than 60p...

  • @theimperfectadviser

    I never need more than 60p. After over 20 years owning Sony cameras, a series of circumstances brought me to Panasonic (GH5, S1H and Varicam LT), mostly for a decision (bad or good!) I made to purchase the Fuji XK6x20 Cabrio Pl zoom lens over 2 years ago. Very new with the old Varicam LT but loving it. A bit noisy at 5000 but with possible workarounds. What is an acceptable noise level to you? Most people don’t shoot of people holding one candle in a cave, but interested in knowing your opinion on this (I use the LT with my ERGORIG of course….too heavy otherwise). Thanks

    Like they say an FX6 for run and gun. If you have to run with it all day long it better doesn't weigh too much... I think a lot of filmmakers are more than happy with the lightfootedness of the FX6.
