Having used several budget earbuds from Soundpeats, Anker(Soundcore), 1More, and Edifier, I consistently come to the conclusion that Edifier has the brightest tuning with better clarity and tighter bass translating to the widest soundstage and best instrument separation. Anker has a stronger bass that still stays focused but not the best high frequency audio while Soundpeats usually have a deeper albeit mushier bass and murky mid range. 1More is similar to Edifier with good focus and balance but less agile making them sound slow or delayed when directly compared to Edifiers. If I were making comparisons to "major" brands, Edifiers actually sound like AKG or B&Os, Anker has some similarities with Bose and Sony, Soundpeats are kinda like Dr. Dre or any other pop focused brand and I guess that makes 1More the Sennheisers of budget earphones.

@@Christopher-nl2kbI bought both the Cleer alpha and the WH950NB during christmas The Cleer alphas spatial audio doesn't surprise me, the Edifier sounds more spatious, while the Cleer feels more squished together even with spatial audio The signature of the Cleer alpha is warm, and it's nice for neutral wired listening, after Eq'ing for a bit, they still sound warm The Edifier sounds more clear and more detailed in wireless mode, and are overall more comfortable and lighter, while the Cleer is better built but squeezes your head a bit The noise cancelling feels like a Tie between the two, I'd say the cleers win in this category The Edifier, for being cheaper, sounds better, are more comfortable, and has better sound staging, while the Cleer has better build, but are heavy, and noise cancelling

Wow, this are actually close to perfection! Google fast pair is underrated IMO, and honestly multipoint connection should be standard in headphones. For the price you are getting a really good value, good for Edifier, aiming at the big guys.

Interesting! Thank you for sharing. When you said Soundcore, did you mean Q45? If not, then would like to know the comparison with that as that is widely popular in the same range!
Thanks a lot for the review! Answered many questions - now you can order. We look forward to more informative reviews of the same level, good luck to you!
Great review, going to have to give these a try 👍
Great review. I have the Edifier W830BTs and they mechanically squeak and groan when I pick them up by the ear muffs to put them on. Even when they are on, if I move my jaw enough I can get them to creak. I see the WH950NBs have a similar mechanical attachment of the head band to the ear muffs. So the question is are you hearing any excessive mechanical noise from the WH950NBs when handling them?
Brilliant review! Excellent work Gamesky. I'm ne be sticking around and subscribe
Hopefully we'll start seeing Edifier implement multi-point in their earbuds.

I'm testing out these headphones right now and they're incredible. The comfort and sound quality of the music are so good for the price. The ANC is at Bose level, but it's better than most $250.00 and below headphones that's for sure.

Having used these headphones for a week, I can happily say that the ANC works superbly in the gym for those who like to block out sound, nothing gets past them in that environment. The overall sound quality of them is brilliant, Ive never used any premium headphones before but I don't know what could be better. The free app is a great companion to tune the sound to your liking. Just purchased these partially because of your review!! And i picked a great time to purchase them - they're on sale for 20% off on Amazon right now!! ($145 usd instead of $180) Thanks for the help in finding my new headphones! My wife has the qc45s and , honestly, I liked my soundcore q20s more due to the sound quality sounding more "rich" (I feel like the 45s are kind of bland sounding no matter what music genre or equalizer settings I choose). Here's to hoping I like them a lot more than the q20s, considering they're almost twice as expensive!!

Nice review. Can someone who owns these confirm whether the ANC is available when using the 3.5mm wired connection please? i.e. when watching inflight movies on a plane.
Love that this year seems to be the year ldac takes off

How would you compare these to the sound core Q45
How it sound compare to the edifier stax s3, i have the s3 but it kind of big, sometimes the bass is not punchy enough
Practical question - if you fall asleep while wearing it, will you be able to hear your alarm? I mean, it plays "inside"? Or isolation turns off when not used for x minutes?
How do the compare to the Bose QC45 and Sennheiser Momentum 4 ?
Can you review the Monster N-Lite Clear Talk wireless earbuds, they are on amazon on sale for $39.99 with a retail price of $89.99 and I want to know if they are worth it.
Looking at this review and the features, I find it unacceptable that my Bose QC45 doesn't have the option to set the ANC level or a way to turn off the ANC without having to go in "Ambient/Aware" mode. Bose really let me down.
Would love to see Earfun make an ANC headphone to compete in this segment

Which would u say is better Edifier WH950 or the JBL Live 650 BTNC
Did they sound loud? have sufficient volume, baches this s the problems with wireless headphones most of them don't have a good amplifier to save battery life.

for wired gaming, buy this or edifier spirit s3 STAX?
I have a Stax Spirit S3. Is this better or worse in terms of audio quality?
I saw these on Ali just the other day. The page mentioned just LDAC and SBC. No AAC whatsoever
Those look similar to my Sonoflows from 1More.
Soundmagic p23bt next please?
They have that little bronze oval both sony Xm series headphones have aaaaand use Wh in the name. Not a bad line to copy.
do they need to be charged when used with the cable?

Hell yea
Can't find a reason to upgrade from my soundcore life q35. Heck, it doesn't even look like an upgrade and they are $60 more.
Are the earpads exchangeable?
Are these gym certified? Swear resistant and or replaceable ear cushions.
Is great that we don't have to pay $300 and up anymore for premium NC headphones, not saying this will top the Audiophile headphones or anything like that but it will satisfy many people's needs, I can't stand the QC45s, the WH-1000XM4s and the Momentum 4 even if they are my favorite right now I still have some complaints, I bet this will beat all of those expensive headphones in sound and convenience depending on the people's needs.

This is edifier it goes on sale to 120 usd. crazy at that price point.
is this good to use for pc?
These or skullcandy at the same price point ?
Are the pads replaceable?
can I use this on my desktop pc?
In my country this can be had for $89. If it sounds as good as the Sony XM5, I guess it's a steal.
how's the Bass?
Those look more like the WH-1000XM5's than the actual XM5's. What I mean by that is they look a lot more like a successor to the 1000XM4's than the real XM5's do. I expect the edifiers to sound better than the sonys. The sony's atleast my pair sound particularly boomy. Honestly to much bass, makes them super fun but they are really nothing to write home about in terms of sound quality. However, Sony's noise canceling is still the best I've heard and I feel like it would take a pretty big brand to catch up to Sony/Bose/Apple in terms of noise cancelation. Only reason apple could play catchup (mind you they aren't quite as good on the over ear space) is because they have substantially more money to throw at it.
Does the app allow you to customise the EQ? Or is it presets only?

How they do better than the Edifier stax Spirit s3, which I've got. They sound great and battery is great. But buttons are terrible. Takes 14sex pressing now to turn them off (quicker to insert the 3.5mm cable and take it out-that causes the headphones to turn off). App is terrible. Even when the headphone is Bluetooth connected to my phone the app won't recognise something is attached most of the time which makes different audio options in the app pointless (an app update would have been nice, though it does seem to take more liberties with data than some headphone apps). The app started sending out spam in Chinese. And the widget doesn't appear to most of the time. Call quality is ok as long as you're in anywhere with any slight wind. But if you're sat still, don't mind the earpads, are happy to leave them switched on and don't want to switch between the different modes then the stax spirit s3 sound good. It's put me off any Edifier products.
I have xm4's. My girlfriend is always stealing them. I got here a pair of 1more snowflow's. The ANC is almost identical to my sony's. There's a sliggght difference in audio quality but for the $80 I would've just bought myself a pair of those to begin with
