This is so much information but I love it

This is such a great straight forward instruction. I have spent many days trying to get this camera set up and have not shot any video yet. The my menu section is a labyrinth of choices that seem unnecessary. I am a musician and audio engineer and just want to shoot some cinematic looking video of solo guitar performance.

If there's not a lot of light, I would simply go for no picture profile at all. The colors will be very good and the black will be deep. Also you donÄt need extended dynamic range is such situations.

what better focus to use with the dji gimbal. autofocus or single focus? while I walk with my Gimbal

How do you set the white balence if u cant take picture?

Hello Liz, thank you for subscribing👍 Only in NTSC mode the 24p option is available. You can use 25p as well. It is not a world of difference.

Why is the settings set to 4K in movie mode and on the screen you have HD? I’m confused

Great video. Can you tell me what can be the reason that Face/Eye Prty in AF is greyed out as well as Center Lock on AF , SteadyS Focal Len. and Interval Shooting for Custom mode 2? I did everything as you showed in the video and Custom mode 1 is ok but Custom 2 has these greyed out modes. Thank you.

It's because you probably have "Proxy recording" (second menu tab, first page, option on the bottom) turned to "on". Turn that off and face-af is working again. At least that's what my a7iii had an issue with. Hope that helps.. Great video btw!

I copied and implemented all your settings for my A7III a couple of weeks ago and also put a modified version for my ZV1 and it's working brilliantly. Thanks for the effort and sharing. Just 1 question. When I use C buttons the camera will not let me take a custom white balance. My workaround at the moment is to take a custom white balance color temp reading in video mode and then enter the temperature in the Kelvin white balance settings. Am I missing something?

Why isn’t anyone talking about picture profiles and SLOG? I don’t understand why no one covers this topic. How do we keep noise out of videos in day time or night. Sony A7iii seems to capture noise pretty easily.

Without dual native ISO or in camera noise reduction, on set, the only way to keep noise down is to have more light. Faster lens, brighter light, or keep the ISO down and live with some underexposure:)

So wait, I don’t need to follow the 180 rule for slow motion?

Not me, a Canon/Fuji user, bought this camera and never fully learned this 😅😅😅😅😅😅
