Thanks, you saved my day for ZV-E10, at least to know it was possible 😊. Then worked out a 4 steps shortcut, without de-cabling and everything on: 1. Switch Connection to WiFi direct 2. Sleep gimbal (camera screen gets black) 3. Set connection back to USB (using smartphone) 3. Unsleep gimbal Works fine anytime for me. 😊 All camera remote from gimbal + recording + active track are functional.

Been getting this working with a Canon 90D (because I'm a crazy person) and have had success using your methods. More testing to be done but so far just glad to see the screen showing, need to leave it all to charge.

Things to get it done faster and better: 1. Enable PC USB remote if not done, or gimbal controls and waking up will not work correctly. 2. Set preferences3 / hdmi /hdmi display to off (!) on the camera 3. Now put gimbal to sleep, press play button on camera, awaken gimbal again and everything works.

I sm trying to get the same camera ZV-E10 to work with raveneye, and rsc2, but when I power the gimbal off or set it in sleep mode, the signal is lost and screen goes black again.

hi! tanks for the video. do you know how to make work a7c+hdmi external monitor+rsc2? if i plug everything the hdmi external monitor goes black, if i unplug the control cable, i have my monitor back, but no more control from the gimbal (no focus, no rec button and no charging).

Fudge! I have the RS2 and Canon 70D. As soon as I plug in the HDMI to the Raven eye, my screen goes black. My Ravens eye is staying on blue and not turning green. Any ideas???

Any posible solution for the Black Screen in CANON R6? I want to Connect an extérnal monitor FeelWorld BEFORE the raveneye, but it shows a BLACK screen in the device, despite the monitor does receive the signal, and also sends it out (tried in my TV from the output of the monitor) something happens in the Raveneye that shows only BLACK screen and the ussual controls of the Raveneye

Have you try changing the hdmi output to 1080p? I have seen a guy that got black screen with a7sIII as well and he simply change the hdmi output to make it work. I have a7c but don’t have dji gimbal. Cannot test.

Does the RS2's follow focus wheel work with your solution? I get crazy with my Sony A7R4 and my RS2 and the usb C cable as I get the follow focus working but no hdmi output, and I need a hdmi output for my external monitor exactly when I use the follow focus to be more precise! So maybe you're solution would allow me to use the raven eye and my phone as a monitor. I'm asking before ordering the raven eye :)

When recording the camera screen is still black, didn’t work for me, updated firmware and everything . It only records on the phone I believe.. like it will record to my phone without a black screen, but doesn’t have the normal solid red dot 🔴 and picture option

Have you try after opening the dji app and then changing the hdmi output on the a7c to 1080p ( not 1080i) instead of 4k. Maybe it is a bandwith issue. I have seen a guy with a7siii who had same black screen and he simply changed the hdmi output to 1080p and it worked. Would be interesting to test that on a7c.

As the USB-C control cable will occupy the bandwidth of the processor on the Sony cameras, Sony currently put the higher priority of the USB-C signal than the HDMI signal. That is the reason why we cannot get the video signal on the Ronin app. (This was on December 2020) We have already noticed this issue and currently are finding solution with the Sony. We suggest you to use the Sony Muti camera cable that enables you to get the signal from the HDMI. @@kalkydra but i have a7c which does not have such multi connector. Only usb-c. So the problem is on Sony which incorrectly handle hdmi output which should be not dependant of the usb-c bandwidth. I think hdmi output also disconnect some features of the camera. I need to read more the doc. But to me it seems a Sony issue. It is a bandwidth issue as i was saying. On the a7siii the processor is much more powerful (8x) and reducing the output allow maybe more bandwidth necessary to make it work as i have seen in a video. It is doubtful, they will fix that on a7c with bionz x processor. If i buy dji ronin rsc2, i won’t buy the raveneye, or pro combo and save my money.

Hey David, What lens do you have on it? If the lens is too long/heavy, it can be an issue. I've had success balancing on both a Tamron 28-75mm and Sony 20mm.

Did you lose face and eye detection when pluging in the usbc to the a7c?? For some reason I lose it when I plug the gimbal into the a7c?

Yes I’ve found that when the remote function is enabled on the camera, eye tracking is disabled.

Did the firmware updates issued yesterday by DJI fix the A7C/RavenEye issue?

Hey Gary I just tried out the new update and happy to report back that it's definitely a step forward! You can now have all the cables plugged in as normal, however you'd still have to switch the method to Wifi-Direct > Put the gimbal to sleep > switch back to USB>take gimbal out of sleep. This update eliminate the steps of having to swap the cables.

Cool! I have the same camera. Do you think is pro bundle is worth it?

@@claudiomarsanoorellana1477 Unfortunately this will have to be done every time. Hopefully @DJI will come out with an update soon to fix this.

But it doesn't work again if you put the gimbal to sleep mode. The shorter shortcut is when the RSC2 in sleep mode to press the "play" button on the A7C and then hit the sleep button on the gimbal again.

There is a slightly different method that doesn't involve putting the gimbal to sleep or swapping the front cable (just set it up normally). Instead you unplug the USBc from the camera- change camera settings- then plug it back in. Check out kzread.info/dash/bejne/foqIzZqdiKeddZc.html

it didn't work. as soon as I turn on my camera, the screen on the camera goes black as well.

There is quick solution for this. When everything is connected, short press on gimbal power button then press play button(view files) on camera, then power button again. It works for my Sony 7c and RSC2.

It is not sure they can do a patch. It seems a problem of bandwidth with the processor when the usb-c cable is connected. The processor reserves the bandwidth for the usb-c and none is left for the hdmi. On a7siii i have seen that by reduce the output to 1080p it was working but the processor bionz xr is 8 times more powerful. So my opinion is that except if they rethink the protocol, there won’t be a fix. Possibly. It is not simply a problem of dji firmware. Sony will also need to change the a7c usb-c protocol and resource priority management if i understand well. I am an ex developer, so this is what i understood. It is not only on the a7c but on every camera that would have simply a bionz x processor like the a7riv in theory and only usb-c connector. Some older camera have the multi connector that use different protocol. Like the a7iii this is why it can work on this camera. A7c does not have multi connector. So you need a firmware from dji AND sony to make it work. It is more difficult.

I'm here 2 years later to ask you: Has DJI release a correction for this????????
