This is weird. My a6300 gave me the error on all my cards on the same shoot as I tried them one after another. I just got the error again on a new card after a month since the problem happened on the shoot.

I have the same problem. I bought a new Sandisk (extreme pro microSDXC UHS-I 64GB). When I put it in my sony a5100, the problem continued. Then I thought of putting my old card in the new ADAPTER! It worked! ! Then I put the new card in the new adapter and worked as well !!! Please try to replace adapter!

Well this just happened to me on a friend A6000 and I just closed the memory slot with my hand instead of locking it and a pop up to create a image database showed up I accepted and then I went to the format option did it and its now working. Its so weird...

Doesn't work for me--I can't get to the menu screens on the a6000--looped error messages./ update: by holding down the menu button in the moment between start up and the first appearance of the error screen, I was somehow able to get into the main menu and then do a hard reset through installing the latest firmware. This is a bug that firmware needs to address; the "cancel" button should get rid of this by registering as a simply "no" to the request to "restore database."

Sony is great in so many aspects but Bad with batteries and SD card reading. One thing that worked for me was taking out the battery and putting it back in. Another thing i do (A7III) move the SD card from slot 1 to Slot 2 and format slot 2. Then I put it back to slot 1. All this is assuming you have your information backed up.

Follow the steps and it works 100% thank you very much!!!

Nothing worked. Tried MUHAM's solution and pressed down the pins with a toothpick and nothing. Only after pressing the card and not letting go with the finger did it reinitialize the database and now it works. First formatted the card on the computer though.

I bought a SONY NEX f3 online (body only) f3 online (body only) so had to buy a lens later which arrived today. Tried the camera for the 1st time but it says please reinsert card all the time. I havew a micro SD card & holder so will try that.

Finally i solved this issue on my a6000 which i just purchased (used) from ebay. I tried all your methods, also bought two new cards one after other thinking one of it might be malfunctioned. So, i want to share here how i resolved it, maybe it might help others. After trying all your tips i inspected closely from battery bay, the copper pins, one of the pin was not making contact with the SD card, i slightly pushed it in until it sits well on sd card’s contact and wola it worked. So happy.

Clean the memory card's contacts, blow out any dust from the camera's card reader.

The easiest solution is the best one! Removed, inserted back, and it works. Blessings!

Usually it is good to format the card inside the camera. If that doesn't work then try formatting it on a PC/laptop. Don't use NTFS as file system, theoretically FAT, FAT32, or ExFAT should be OK.

I have the same problem, this solution does not work. Maybe you need to replace the card reader module in the camera

Disk checking could help, but it might also damage the data... ► kzread.info/dash/bejne/eHppzdWGo8zKkdI.html, also make sure the file is not HIDDEN.

-try to use another USB port, -try another card reader, -try it on a different PC/laptop -temporarily unplug other USB devices, -try another memory card.

Get one because otherwise you can't access memory cards on a desktop PC, but laptops usually have a card reader... I mostly use this one ► kzread.info/dash/bejne/pZx4y858ksaYkaw.html

Similar issues I faced 2 years before, when I shoot my friend's baby 1st year birthday party while taken photos but I could not take single picture. Very sad later, in Midnight on that day I searched in Google and I found solutions what you are uploading video. If anyone in that time upload that video definitely I took pictures, but luckily my colleague took pictures in his Camera Cannon 600D

"System volume information" at 1:54 is automatically created by Windows, that's not needed by the camera.

Hi, I also encountered this problem. The shop where I bought my alpha camera told me that the problem lays with 64GB sizes. Brand doesn't matter, just the size 64GB apparently. I bought an 32GB, works flawlessly. Already tested with 16GB, same, works perfect. Only the 64GB seems to be a problem. Hope I can help someone out.

Hello. I am experiencing a lot of problems with my sony a5000. First I have to note that I do not use it a lot and that I have it for about 4 years and the lens is not damaged I never leave the house with it. Today something very bizarre happen. I went to open it and pressed movie and started to record something in my room then by accident instead of hitting the bottom to stop recording I pressed OFF. This turned the camera off but then all my problems started. First the lens does not work anymore when you press off the lens does not retract it self anymore. Then the screen went completely black I can not see my photos anymore and then It says: NO CARD. There is a SD 32GO card inside. I took it off and removed everything on it and put it back and it still says NO CARD. The SD card is working on all my other devices and I tried putting another SD card that is working, in the A5000 and still the same message. I also tried following the video I did everything but when I get to the format section I can not click on it. Another problem is that the camera refuses to charge. One thing that I should note is that i charge my camera with a phone charger (and it worked all this time) because I can not find the charger that it came with and I did not remove the battery because my dad put a case on the camera that I can not remove and it covers the battery. please help me

Maybe the battery is puffed/swollen and it refuses to charge, maybe the charge circuit is damaged. You should definitely remove the case and check the battery. Check the lens also to see if it's correctly attached.

Those cards are working well in other devices and not working in this camera? - Check the SD card connectors inside the camera (that won't be easy) - Reset the camera to default settings (totally the last option in the menu) - Format the card inside the camera - Update the firmware of the camera

I like MicroSD cards because with an adapter they can be used in almost any device (sports cameras, smartphone etc).
