I took this light and cheap lens on a day trip on safari in Tanzania along with the a6400. It's not optically perfect, but I've taken some amazing pictures of animals with beautiful morning light. It's really great as a travel lens, you can always have it in your pocket and not worry about an expensive lens. Together with the new a6700 it sharpens perfectly.

The difference is sharpness between this lens and one which is much more expensive can be corrected by any competent photo editing program. Most photos are displayed on monitors, which themselves have resolution limits.

A really good informative video! I got this lens a few years ago with my A6300. I didn't do any research and I was on a tight budget anyways. I think the reason I got it was because I had a very similar Nikon Zoom lens so I added this one to my order. I used the gear nonetheless without worrying about what it can and can't do compared to other lenses. After watching this I'm surprised about the shots I've gotten and helped me understand why I've struggled with some photos I taken before. For example, taking photos in shaded woodland. I thought to look up reviews of this lens after looking for a 50mm F1.8 and yep, this zoom lens is ok. Not amazing but for the price you can get some really nice shots. I mostly take photos of my dog anyways so it's been alright for those. Outdoors the camera is great, especially for speedy doggos! As long as the lighting is good and bright!

what is the distortion or the chromatic aberration type thing that we get at max zoom of 210mm? I mean the image isn't much sharp.

I got this lens and now will be returning it. Wish I had watched your video first because I got the same results with image quality and colors. Even though the sigma 100-400 is three times the price of this lens but I think it will be a much better investment as a telephoto lens

One question though, I observed, you shoot at very high ISO of around 1000, that has affected the image clarity and quality. Just my perspective, maybe it is something of your own liking. Thanks for the info

Yes you can! But not technically recommended. There is a high chance to end with softer images. Never mind give it a shot, it's a cheap lens anyway

A poor performing APS-C lens on an a7c is a bad idea. That lens is not even suitable for a crop body and is no match for your full frame a7c. A good performing zoom suitable for your camera would be a Tamron 70-180 f2.8.

When we full zoom 210 What's the aperture we got

It works but not recommended. Most probably will get softer images on full frame. Instead consider the Tamron 70-300mm kzread.info/dash/bejne/aJOou5OSosSrnLg.html

Briefly owned that kit lens in early 2018 but the image quality was unacceptable and the lens was sold. If you like this lens it may be because you don't have a professional quality lens to compare it to.
