This masterpiece was originally chosen to be sang by Rafi Saheb, due to Rafi Saheb and Rajendra Kumar jis great collaborating successes, but Rafi Saheb in that time was busy doing stage in foreign countries. The movie makers and music director were willing to wait for Rafi Saheb to return. However it was Saheb who recommended Yesu das ji name to them, knowing how great Yesu Das ji was as a singer. Rest is history. The song was a bumper hit.

So melodious singing by Sonu Nigam. This is one of my best songs. ❤❤❤

These are the people who connects North and South are really angels of Bhartiya culture and humanity.Most of the so called social reformers tried to create two poles apart but truth and reality cannot be hidden both are really very good bhartiya and humanity and complementary of each other.I am very happy to see Sir Yesudas with Sonu . The timber of vocal originally sung by yesudas g can never ever be replaced . That's the contribution of ( TiMe ) Today even yesudas g himself cannot replace the one that was recorded. Tears come out ... as u listen to the innocence of such voice .
