like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, kzread.infoUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

I was looking at making a purchase for the Sonos One, and SL for my kitchen setup. The current temporary prices are quite attractive (Dec '20). Thanks for the detailed unboxing, breakdown, comparison, and setup process on this Sonos product. Looks like I'll be adding these into my Sonos ecosystem. Great production value, keep up the great work!

Super to-the-point review which answered many things I needed to know. Thank you. Considering a refurb Gen. 2 from SONOS now at $134 (-10% through capital one visa). Like so many others, I have champagne tastes on a beer budget. My only hesitancy is that I use KZread music. I think that airplay will work, but I'm a little confused if Google assistant will recognize their product (KZread music), and play using that voice assistant. I'm not sure you have any experience with this, but if you do, please advise. Another hesitancy is that the available refurb color is slate…not white, which I would really prefer, or black, which I think looks sharp. Such a deal at this price…a sale on refurbished, and I really don't have the budget to be picky and buy the white ones new -- I don't think they come up in the referred category… this is what we call a First World Problem.

Hello. I hooked up my sonos 1 speakers and they seem to be working fine. I just relized i did not press the button in back of the speakers like recommended. They are working but am i missing out on something from not pressing in the button?

I have a SONOS eco system, 4 Ones, Sub and Beam. The One’s bass is not very good you do need the Sub to really get good overall sound. The Home Pod by itself sounds better and if you have the wallet get the Devialet Phantom.

Geny Sys you’ll need to get the Sonos move for ourdoor use. These are focused on high fi audio streaming through WiFi. No Bluetooth

Question? If you unplug the speakers do you have to set them up again with the app?

No they reconnect automatically! I move my speakers around all the time.

Really good info however when you was setting up the sonos I struggled to follow your video as there are no indications to which place you where going in the setup on the phone. Other than that good!

I thought it doesn’t have Bluetooth, but it asked you for Bluetooth 🤔. Im bought one of these, but I read that Bluetooth doesn’t work with a laptop, si I’ll have to see if I keep it after trying it Thanks for the review. Is there another speaker you’d recommend aside from these?

@@avalancha08 the Sonos app connects all of your services through its interface. It’s much higher quality audio than Bluetooth since it’s over a different WiFi codec.

I'm interested in buying a Sonos, but in all review vids I just see the streaming services u can use. Can u play music that is downloaded to a phone since I don't stream? Can u listen to a KZread video? Or is the playback just for streaming music apps?

You can use AirPlay if you have an Apple Device.

Yes, Sonos suggests one gen 2 pairs with one SL in a stereo pair as there is no reasons for two voice enabled devices in the same space.

Correct! The sonos move is the wireless model that provides comparable sound.

The one definitely plays Spotify! However it’s through the Sonos app which connects to all your music services. This speaker does not do Bluetooth but the Sonos Move does. I have a review of the Move going up shortly

I have one of these!😃 I hate it 😞 C O N S T A N T connection issues. Also, the mic sucks. You have to be very close to it, or screaming from across the room. It's nice looking, expensive garbage.

Thumbs down, the set up should include the instructions for new sonos users, this video assumes you had a connection to the other sonos system before

Lose that awful racket I can't call it music good review though.
