One of the drummers that I could listen to solo for long periods of time. So refreshing to hear music coming out of the drums and not blazing chops. So much more interesting to me.

I couldn’t agree more. The Gospel Chops, etc movement is just tedious, non-musical and boring. But not just them … lots of metal and fusion players are no better. Gilmore is an artist of soundscapes.
The thing I love about these videos is that you can clearly hear that this drumset is a musical instrument. A lot brands out there will promote their drums as instruments for music rather than musical instruments. Excellent job guys! 👏👏👏
