Glad it was helpful!
I got one a couple of weeks ago and it's fantastic. No neutral is the standard way of wiring lighting in the UK which makes light switch choices very limited. I can confirm it works fine with ZHA as that's what I'm using it on. Using it with a single 8w LED lightbulb I don't need any load resistor like other no neutral options have in the past. I finally have a great option for UK switches that allows me to keep normal functionality for guests but integrated with my smart home, wife approval factor that it works with our existing switches and I love because it's fully local. Very happy and got more on order... Sorry for sounding like a plug but I've been wanting this device for years!

Awesome! Glad to hear good things. I tested it with a couple bulbs and it was flawless. That was the only issue I had with it was no onboard fuse. But that's an easy fix.

I stick my modules behind the light fitting. I have access to a neutral, 2 way switching and not having to arse about fitting deeper back boxes in the brickwork.

Where about in the UK did you source this?
Just bought a 4 pack here in Canada using your affiliate link. Really only need one, the the price difference between 1 and for and then 2 or 4 just made sense to go with the 4 pack. Will definitely be putting in a fuse in the Line in side. Suppose to be able to change the switch mode between regular mode using on/off switch and toggle mode with a push button. Now to find a decora style momentary switch. Found one, but the price is insane.
Thank you sir. 👍🏻

I added a fuse to the outdoor led flood that's about 2x the stated draw. Already killed 2 Shelly 1pms because a wire shorted to the building outside.

Nothing wrong with that. I have done that myself on a couple of them I wasn't too sure of. Better to be safe than sorry.

Great video... Kindly do a video tutorial on how to connect a Bluetooth speaker with Homeassistant OS or Homeassistant Supervised and stream music to bluetooth speaker using mpd. Regards Neha

looks like a fusible resistor to the left of the screw terminals. Not sure I'd trust it, but that's what it looks like.

May I ask a techie here: when i bought this thing, but the Lamp has a neutral line, can i directly connect the neutral to the lamp by overgoing the Zigbee-switch? For clarification: I'm based in central Europe and having RCDs installed.

I don't recall this one having neutral at all.
I'm quire certain that my wiring is correct (ZBMINIL2), I can control the light from Home Assistant no problem. But the issue is I cannot use the actual switch to turn on/off. I just don't know what else to do. Can you help?
@haschid

If you didn't solve it already: the switch has three modes. Edge mode, for rocker switches; Pulse mode, for self-reset switches; and Following Mode which transforms the external switch in a circuit-breaker. You change the mode by clicking the button on the zbmini three times, quickly.
SONOFF ZBMINIL2 Questions.. Is it a good fit and will it work in these scenarios? Here is what I'm wanting to accomplish and hoping someone can tell me if this device will do that.. **Scenario 1:** Have a switch box that has a neutral wire. It turns my ceiling fan / light combo off/on.. I have a Smart Life universal wifi fan/light combo installed that I have in HA to control fan and lights. However, switch has to be on to do so.. I want to be able to control the fan/light via HA/Alexa regardless if the switch is in off/on position. **Scenario 2:** I have 3 switch boxes, all 3 way, that control our hallway lights. None have a neutral. Will this device provide HA on/off ability? If so, do I need to install 3 (one in each box)? **Scenario 3:** I have a switch box with no neutral. Just want HA to have ability to turn lights off/on. Also, for any of the scenarios that do work (if any), does the standard on/off toggle light switch work with them? Thanks!
Have you worked with the sonof powr3?

I tried it and works perfect except for when using it with the switch. Somehow I have to turn on/off the switch for the light to turn on and then repeat the same for lights off, in other words action the switch twice every time I want lights on or off - any idea if I could be doing something wrong?

@digiblurDIY

Something mains rated, regular wall switch.
Wouldn't you change your breaker in the switchboard to 6A afci then?! Those inline fuse holders shouldn't be used on ac applications as they can be pretty dangerous IMHO. It's pretty cool how those devices work as it makes it own neutral to drive the electronics, basically sips leaking current.

I was using the holders rated for 250VAC and are 14awg. And it would be difficult to change the breaker and impact the other things on the 15A-20A circuit in my region.
@TradieTrev

@@digiblurDIY Although rated for it, double check your NEC standard. I think that's the one you lot use ;) HRC fuses are better by design than traditional wire fuses we use on DC circuits.
I really wanted to use one of this for a 3 way light switch I have, but I have no place to put any fuse on my boxes 😢

Hey guys, I have never used them. Can someone tell if there is a setting which will set what state device in case it's losing connection? e.g if I want to turn on the gas furnace and then during the heating I lose connection to the device.
@haschid
4 ай бұрын
AFAIK you can only configure the behavior in case of power loss. In case of connection loss, it'll just keep the state. These devices are not to be relied upon for safety critical applications.
I thought that the power_on_behaviour in your video would have kept the power off if it was working on the device? As prior to killing the power, you'd turned the device off! Instead it came back on...

@digiblurDIY

No, you'd need a zigbee hub of some sort.
why fuse it?is just one fase ,can't short relatively to nothing! will the fuse blow if there is a short internally on the module? why? if you short the 2 pins L IN an LouT its' a short? for you power box its not... probaly the light that it's conected here will be always on because the module is "shorted" . i didn't understand what IC powers 3.3v or 5v through one fase only and no Neutral

My breaker and wiring is too large for the rating this device has. It could fail due to loading issues and I need the breaker to trip, not this device.
UK lighting circuits are normally on a 6 Amp breaker so don't see what the problem is?

Marketed in the NA markets where 15A and 20A circuits are the norm.
So the fuse is recommended on the S1/S2 terminal only??? Thx

Merci d’avance.
