Holiness, holiness
Is what I long for
Holiness is what I need
Holiness, holiness
Is what You want from me
So take my heart and form it
Take my mind, transform it
Take my will, conform it
To Yours, to Yours, oh Lord
To Yours, to Yours, oh Lord
Faithfulness, faithfulness
Is what I long for
Faithfulness is what I need
Faithfulness, faithfulness
Is what You want from me
Righteousness, righteousness
Is what I long for
Righteousness is what I need
Righteousness, righteousness
Is what You want from me

    This was originally a Vineyard song I beleive and the chords are so simple which allows so much room to concentrate on straight up worship to the LORD GOD. To JESUS be all the Glory. Amen.

    I love this song because it leads you into a time of just worship for about 3 mins at the end. I just closed my eyes and sung my own praises to the Lord. What a wonderful way to end the day.

    rt and pray for God to reveal himself to me. One night I went up there for a particularly long time and when I came down I had given up. But somehow as the days went on I started believing in God for the first time. I learned so much during the summer especially about brokenness. We sang this song a lot at the camp and its what got me thinking about brokeness. These are the verses I compiled for my testimony: Me,“the sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit, for when I am weak then I am strong,”

Though our bodies are dying our spirits are being renewed every day.” I learned so much during the summer and I hope it actually meant something. I hope it was actually God revealing himself to me and not just me tricking myself. Now that it’s over i’ve been drifiting away and I feel helpless, like the father in Mark 9:24. @nobleminstrel.. we have to be broken before we can be fixed. this song is about being a living sacrifice for God's cause. In order for God to display his glory through you, you need to be broken in spirit before him. If you are not broken, it will not be possible because our own self-sufficiency and pride gets in the way. so take my heart and form it take my mind and transform it and take my will and conform it to yours O lord! :) bless you for asking!

    Do you think a lost person has any idea of what holiness is? This song is meant to edify the Christian, but using the music tastes we should have left behind when we were saved, when 'old things have passed away' and 'all things are become new".. That includes music, both in lyrics as well as style, dress, culture, (Music does have a culture), everything. New. This may have new words, but the delivery system is the same old style..

    The Lord reveals Himself to you in His word. Cease looking for signs, for feelings-the Lord isn't found in the earthquake, or the fire, or the mighty, rushing wind, but in the still, small voice. If you have looked for Him, its because He is drawing you. Trust that His word says that He loves you and has died for you, and paid for your sins. Repent of your sins, and call upon the name of Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved.

    @rematchsixsix I pray and trust God will answer the cry of your heart, friend, and reveal Himself to you. Seek and you WILL find. I pray, right now, in Jesus name, that you would have an encounter with the Living God, that you would find peace and rest in Him, and that upon meeting Him and receiving His love, that Love would overflow and effect everyone you know. Love and blessings...

    @rematchsixsix Hi there. :) I know the comment I'm replying to is 7 months old, but I just wanted to say that I respect you. I don't think atheists are cowards. I don't agree with their way of thinking, but I actually think they're very brave to face all the hypocrisy that lies within Christians who don't reflect what they believe in. I just try to be nice to others to show that not all Christians are like that. Anyway... God bless you! If you'll accept them, I'd like to offer you my prayers. :)

    @rematchsixsix Not sure if you'll read this, but anyone is capable of God's mercy, you have to believe that. Admit to God you've done wrong you will find that Jesus died for everyone, not just us, but murderers, atheists, terrorists, and YOU too. If you can't believe that He's there, then you won't find Him. Those who truly seek him, without doubt or lack of confidence, will find Him "Without faith it's impossible to please him.." Hebrews 11 : 6 God Bless, no matter how you respond to this.

  • @ukulelemike

    I appreciate your reply, but think about it: 1-We don;t win the loss with music, but with the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. If we try to win them with music, then the music must be suited to the style the lost enjoys, which then means we are using the tools of Satan to do the work of God. 2-music is not to win the lost-it is for praise to God, and edification of the Christian-this song is not meant to preach to the lost, So they use the lost's music styles to sing to the saved.

  • @ukulelemike
    @ukulelemike12 жыл бұрын

    Yes, music is a gift from God, but we are supposed to use it to glorify Him, not to suit OUR tastes, which is what CCM is: its roots are from the hippy 'Jesus movement" in the 6o's, when unsaved musicians were encouraged to write 'Christian" music, while still lost, or newly saved, and use it in the church, and they admit it was exactly the same as what they did before, except they used Jesus' name in it. It is still just like that: worldly in character and sound, with Jesus' name tagged on.

  • @ukulelemike
    @ukulelemike12 жыл бұрын

    Seems to me if this guy wants holiness, he might try ceasing from playing unholy music that is conformed to the world, and be holy in all areas. Holiness means to be separated, set apart. When we use music that is an imitation of the music played by,and listened to by the lost, how can we hope to find holiness? CCM is the opposite of holiness.

  • @ukulelemike
    @ukulelemike12 жыл бұрын

    And we can agree to disagree with one another, but we must agree with Gods word. Music has a purpose and it is not to bring one to salvation: that is not its stated purpose in the Bible. And even if it was, it would have to be completely different in style, character and association to be used in an honoring manner to God. We must offer Him a holy, pure offering of music, not a warmed-over soft rock and roll anthem. Holiness IS what we need. This isn't holy music.
