The main difference with the Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic shot is the shading, as you can see with Classic Sonic. That's nice detail into remaking the scene that looks SUPER IDENTICAL to it's original version

THANK YOUUU. I knew something looked a little off with the new animation. The new one looks like that sonic forces shit, they look like clay and so lifeless. Like they remade it with forces engine or something. It looks so horrible. Even shadow looks less intimidating, and more cute like.

@@LilXancheX It doesn't necessarily look bad, I was pointing out that they remade the cutscene to introduce Shadow. Shadow's CGI render has always looked the same since 2010

Classic sonic in sonic generation trailers and boxart looks like american sonic, while in the game it looks like japan sonic(that is better in my opinion)

The lighting was different, and classic's got a darker blue. I like the change.

not really, there is very tiny differences,the coloring is diferent and there are some visual problems, and the original one has different gameplay that is not accurate to the actual game and the quality of the video is garbage

Can't tell if Classic Sonic is sad he didn't get a guy to pose with or he's just as confused as Modern Sonic 0:33

the way shadow interrupted the intro of Sonic generations 2011 was exactly like the rival boss intro of him.

2011 and 2024. Two different years, two different games, one insane adventure.

That's just lighting to me. But yes the model looks to have been slightly modified. But not by much.

2:54 Really love how the trailer threw me off thinking it's the same like the last one but something big changed. That's what made me decide to sell my ps3 copy to get the upgraded version later on.

@@evanvongustav8814 funny things is I never got to finish 1000 year door. I mostly rented back then. But now I got a second chance. Hard to say if the NGC original is still worth something now than later on when the remake comes out. He might change his mind if he plays the remake.

How. Both Sonic's are darker blue in og trailer, which is the ideal color for them. They're washed out in the remaster, which is typical for all remasters (unfortunately).

HDR. many game engines have a different color management systems compared to 10 years ago. even if a game dosent support HDR, the color management of said engines basically go beyond 256 levels of RGB (basically how HDR works). this allows the brightness of a color to be processed independently, which allows for flexible lighting. Both Sonic generations and Sonic frontiers (based on the graphics on the shadow sections of this version) are DX11. but there's a clear color difference between these two games.

@@TheHammerGuy94 I don't think HDR is the problem. This has been a thing since the beginning of remasters/ports. I just don't know the technical reasoning behind it, but its always apparent to keen observers such as myself. The logic is obviously similar to that of say uploading videos on youtube, it now being compressed and not as viasually crisp as the original source.

shadow was originally in generations as a rival boss, but it's a good thing he already has a story in the 2024 remaster!!!

The concept of generation was so cool when it came out.

FR, it feels like a mix of Pyra/Mythra reveal trailer energy and Rosalina/Luma reveal trailer energy. The former bc at first it feels like something a bit less exciting, then drops a bait and switch for the hype The latter bc it feels like a character is randomly intruding and throwing a wrench in what was supposed to happen in a scene that they're not supposed to be in, possibly not even the right movie in Kirby's case.

I watched it when I was at work in the break room, and it was so much fun. Sonic Generations came out in 2011, which was 12 years ago, and they did the 20th anniversary of Sonic Generations. Right now, it's Sonic x Shadow Generations! Did y'all watch the trailer Ladies and Genetlemen?! Sonic Generations is my favorite game in the world and it's on Xbox 360. Of course, Forza Motorsport 4 is my favorite game as well. Every night, I go to bed and fall asleep dreaming about Sonic the hedgehog and Amy rose in love each other.

No reason this should be delayed. The game will look like the PS3/XBOX 360 versions. It’s already 1080 resolution. Don’t expect a graphics difference, Shadow will be an add on expansion story. So unless there changing the story, I wouldn’t expect to much. But I am happy Generations is coming to the Switch. However they should price it at $40 at launch not $60.

If you think it's "just DLC" then you're the dumb one my guy. The OG Generations isn't even playable on Nintendo or Sony's current platforms, so they by definition have to add the full game to those platforms too. 😂

Literally no one asked for this. Sonic unleashed remake would have been better. Also, they need to call it Shadow Generations, not Sonic x Shadow generations. Let’s get them to change it the same way we got them to change Sonic’s design in the first movie.

it's called Sonic x Shadow Generations because there's both a Sonic Generations remaster and the Shadow game. and they didn't remaster sonic Unleashed because this is supposed to be Shadow's year, and it would be pretty hard to fit Shadow into Unleashed
