Sonic the Fighters Adventure

I played this on my headphones while watching the sonic vs knuckles fight in the movie No regrets it was glorious

I imagine this is the actual representation of their battle in the Hidden Temple Zone right before the Master Emerald. Knuckles has been stonewalling and harassing Sonic for days, and Sonic just won't quit and leave the Island like Knuckles wants. Finally, they can cease the shenanigans and duke it out once and for all.

I genuinely love how this game keeps making references to previous Sonic titles, like at 0:38 you can hear Lava Reef Act 2 (at least I think it is that) and since LRZ2 is also used for Hidden Palace, it fits weirdly well with the fact that Knuckles is here.

This is badass. And also, the final boss theme in the gems/HD ports... For some reason. At least it's a banger

Nah, i played the original arcade version and it's the same. this themes plays when Sonic and Knuckles are selected both in multiplayer mode, not story mode.

The reason this called Sonic vs Knuckles is because they changed a lot of stuff later in development, probably meaning this boss was gonna be Knuckles.

Commenting this just before the end of 2023, this song has aged like fine wine. Perfectly!
