I think the best way to incorporate this style of battle track would be like this. Normal level theme: same as before. Werehog battle theme: exclusively plays whenever barriers are put up prior to an enemy hoard. Level-specific battle themes: plays when you come across enemies just running around the levels normally (also dynamic, in a similar vein to how Astral Chain handles its battle themes).

This is the way. I still like the vanilla Werehog battle theme, so having it in this capacity would be nice.

I would actually say use the normal battle theme for the exorcism missions. I think it would well in that context and still allow every battle within levels, excluding the end level mini bosses, to have unique adaptive battle themes.

I feel like if this game ever gets a PC port, modders would find a way to make this idea possible if anything. The quality and care to make the Werehog just more enjoyable to play is something this part of the levels need. Must advenge Jason's Voice for the werehog 👊😤

I really love how the song starts with a bit more of the original's instrumentation/flow, before going full metal after just shy of a minute, once you'd be knee-deep in a longer fight. The electric guitar and (what I think is an) organ synth first serving as accents to the acoustic guitar, growing to form chords together and sharing a conversation dynamic.

This opens such a fun door for a dynamic osts in Sonic. If we got actual Boost and Combat remixes I feel like that would've rounded out the game a lot more.

I love how this remix still maintains the slower paced drums of the original track, I feel like with a remix like this it would be super easy to fall into the trap of making the drums wicked fast and intense. Perfectly fits how brutal some of the werehog battles can get without being too aggressively fast for the pace of the fight. Love it!

Sonic Team NEEDS to either hire you guys or at least take some inspiration from this if they ever do an Unleashed remaster. Having battle themes for every region would literally alleviate so much of the tedium of the fights dude

Yeah, like the modern Paper Mario games where the instruments in the battle theme are changed so they fit to the environment. Like having typical instruments from Arabic music in Shamar.

Man if the battle adapting mechanic was implemented or the player activating the unleash button without the jazz music pooping, this could have been such a fucking upgrade

That remix is amazing I think an acceptable solution if they ever remaster Unleashed would be just remove the battle music in the stages, making just the regular song play instead, but keeping the Mini-boss song in there since they occur much less in the stages But just not to lose the Jazz Battle Music entirely and remove an entire song from the OST, since the song is good just really repetitive, make it play in the "exorcism" battle missions that happens when you take a photo of someone with Dark Gaia's Energy, since those side missions are much less common and optional, it would be a good solution since the song wouldn't be lost, the stages songs would finally be able to be heard entirely and the song wouldn't get irritating and repetitive since it would be in side missions that are much less present But the PERFECT solution would really be a Battle Remix for every Night theme and it would smoothly swap in the section of the song you're in, while still maintaining the Mini-boss theme and keeping the Battle theme on the exorcism missions

​I don't know anything with how unleashed works, but. Have both play at the same time, but then set the volume on this one to 0, then during battle swap this with the other, making this 100 and the other 0, that's what I think would work

shit is fire, only complaint is that it feels like there is a little bit too much electric guitar/intensity especially when putting the remix along with the actual battles, could work for the miniboss enemies tho i feel like something like what Sonic Guitars did with Cool Edge Night could work with this as well, just a subtle electric guitar with drums, but thats just me rambling on :p overall pretty awesome remix :3
