As much as people didn't like unleashed or whatevs, this is genuinely one of my favorite Sonic games to revisit. The werehog might not've been the best concept but I loved it a lot and wish there was a sequel or something relating to chip or the werehog This game was better than some of the newer modern Sonic games imo

Story-wise, this blows everything else that came after it out of the water. Gameplay wise, I will say that in terms of game mechanics, it was okay. In colors and generations, they really polished what was introduced in Unleashed. I wasn't big on the timed button sequences. I'm glad they axed that.

@@LockeLynx i guess i see where youre coming from with the gameplay and story n shit but then again it was 2010 ish and God of War was becoming popular lmao but id say the only thing i didnt like about the story was the fact that you needed to collect 250 moon and sun medals to get the ending so theres that but i enjoyed this game cause it was something else and they experimented and it failed but i enjoyed the music over anything else and the atmosphere ya feel

Dude, the song ended at the most PERFECT time possible! That, my friends, is peak satisfaction.

@@catalyst539 a remix is typically just someone making a different version, either just the instrumental, or an instrumental *and* the lyrics. A cover is like the reverse, either being just the lyrics, or both the lyrics and instruments.

Seeing Chip/Gaia Colossus deliver that left Haymaker punch was so satisfying...

Sonic unleashed was my childhood. When i saw chip sacrificed himself to save sonic i cried so hard. And after the time has pasted it still brings a tear in my eye seeing him go. If only sega would listen to their fans and make a HD unleashed game.

lol Chip didn't die, nor sacrifice himself, he chose to stay inside the core and send Sonic back to the surface because he was going back into a stasis.

This was my nostalgic Sonic game. Getting to the last boss of the game was so hard to complete but 15 or 20 tries later, I managed to defeat him! I am still playing this game to this day!

When Gaia transformed I used to think "Somebody is a Resident Evil fan".

I would have loved it if they used the lyric version of the song for this final boss. Also this is my favourite sonic final boss who else agreeds

I don't care what people say, this is one of my favorite 3d Sonic games. Definitely play it on a Series S/X if you do. The 60 fps is glorious. Personally, I actually like the werehog. The RPG system was really neat.

Unleashed was the peak of 3D Modern Sonic.

You know, part of me wishes that there was a Super Werehog portion I have no clue how it'd control, but it seems like a weird choice to have half of the game as the werehog, but then not have a super form for it Then again, the game was originally called "Sonic World Adventure"... maybe it was supposed to be an Adventure-style game with a boost formula, but they scrapped the idea after designing part of the Knuckles gameplay and the Tornado controls? It's make sense why they made a Sonic game a beat-em-up

The reason unleashed was so good was because they were afraid it would be their last game, because of all the hate 06 got even though it was the best game in the series, and they wanted to go out with a bang, all they did was continue the series even farther.
