Sonic Unleashed: Cinematic Action Movie Edition - Gameplay with Split/Second Music

Sonic Unleashed but I switch some of the music with the soundtrack from Split/Second Velocity. An idea that just popped into my head after listening to the Split/Second OST, a criminally underrated racing game with some adrenaline pumping music, that will probably never get a sequel.
I went with Sonic Unleashed played via RPCS3 since I find the stage length in that game perfect to sync with the songs I chose, which features multiple "phases", which ramp up in intensity. Funny thing is, the gamerip of the OST lists most of the songs as "Intensity" so the people behind the game knew what they were doing. The framerate for Sonic Unleashed on RPCS3 is rather low but for now, it's on par or even better than the base PS3 framerate-wise, and looks a lot sharper.
I'd gladly list the names of the songs used, but it's a bit tricky. I got most of the songs from here, most of them that are used listed as "Intensity" (A, B and C variants). The soundtrack for Split Second, at least the full complete version is hard to find on KZread, with the exception of the Elite Theme, the last song used. Sonic with Split Second OST is not something I knew I needed in my life I love this

now i got thinking about some awesome stage design for a future sonic game, employing this kind of dramatic music and mixing as the level crumbles and explodes in front of you, even leading to different pathways on repeat playthroughs love S/S as well, good stuff

Both are underrated games
9:53 - I wonder how many players were like "Thanks a lot for the hint, game, I'M TRYING TO FREAKING SEE WHERE I'M GOING!" Also, I think that Split/Second is just another potentially good franchise that got killed off by a very unfortunate release time and Disney's lack of proper marketing. I mean, I first found out about this game from your videos! And look at all these games that came out around that time: Lost Planet 2, Alan Wake and freaking Red Dead Redemption, and in the same day too! Oh, and Blur came out a week later.

Yeah, it's a weird bug, the hint should disappear once you press the action button, but if you enter that section already pressing the button, the sign doesn't go away lol
s/s ost fits with everything.
Think you could put Split Second music over some of the bosses? I don’t know what to choose for who, other than Egg Dragoon having the elite theme.
You know what, they really need to add split/second musics to this game, this music fits so well,

Makes sense here because Sonic was known for not one, but 2 city stages. (3 if you count radical highway).

I'm passing by to say there is a demo of Tunche available until Monday. It's a 2D beat-em-up, and has Hat Kid as guest playable character. It even has combat grading inspired by DMC! Devil May Hat?

I tried playing unleashed on rpcs3 the other day with my intel pentium g4620 and my gtx 750 and 4 gig of ram and I got a whole WHOPPING 19 fps at the best in stage and the worst 4 fps XD

That's actually a pretty freaking good framerate for that setup considering emulation needs a hefty PC a lot of the time.

@@WMan37 Yeah that's thanks to the AMAZING work the people behind rpcs3 are doing ! I can't wait to see how much better the emulator will be in some years !

@@TheChampionBlack I want to use RPCS3 but I have no idea how to get my games from my actual PS3 into my PC, especially since there's no blu ray drive, or even a disc drive, inside it. I don't know of any good emuparadise-esque resources to find alternatives either. Ah well.

@@WMan37 Well to be honest because my PC doesn't have a bluray drive as well and I can't actually copy my PS3 games so I download them from the internet..... I can't tell you exactly but there is a huge PS3 PKG database if you look at google it should be from the first results...

So sad that Black Rock Studios got freaking bombed when they shut down (NOT ACTUALLY BOMBED) if they were still in business and partnered up with SEGA they would have made the ultimate Sonic game in my opinion

Why are you using all your ring energy on the boost when you could be using it for stuff like power plays, route changers, or shortcuts, even deflecting missiles would be ideal. Not to mention you didn’t even use the City District route changer...
