As someone who has never actually watched a full episode of Sonic Underground but watched the theme song repeatedly on a trailer that was on a Super Mario Bros. Super Show DVD at my Grandma’s house and has since looked up the plot on Wikipedia, it actually sounds like a really neat concept for a show. But the fact that it was Sonic branded makes it feel like a weird fan fiction.

A show like Sonic SatAM was made to have an overarching story with real progression and a true conclusion, but Underground was just made to have some kind of Sonic show on the network when the Adventure games were coming out.

I swear I remember an episode where they were within 20 feet of her. The sister had to disguise as her to trick eggman I think, but she was unable to get there. Sonic and the brother do not know this though, and so they assume the cloaked woman was her. It was not. It was their actual mother saving them.

What rubs salt in the wound, is that they actually had an issue of the Archie Sonic comics where they met the S.U Cast, and they still didn't hint at any sort of conclusion. Like, COME ON! It used to be on local TV. Because it was poorly recieved (for some fucking stupid reason), it was on really goddamn early. You don't remember, because you were a half asleep small child, desperately consuming Sonic cartoons at 5 am. I know I was. But that theme song? That's a core memory. Congratulations on recovering a small but important fragment of the past.

I know of the zelda cartoon because of the mario super show dvds, stuff like that was all over the place). Or it could have been on TV right after something you liked to watch, or maybe even saw a few episodes or something.

I watched this when it was on Netflix when I was younger, I learned the entire theme song and sang it at my talent show at my school. And it was awesome. This show is such a comfort show, I love it sm. But apparently people hated this show, that’s why it was rated so lowly. When they removed it from Netflix I got so pissed because I was craving to watch this show again, we will miss Sonic Underground 😔

I wish this banger was attached to a competent show.

I remmeber bits and pieces of this show from my childhood. I think Sonic Underground is one of the (if not the) first Sonic related media I ever encountered. I think for years I thought Sonic was just from that cartoon where he had siblings and they use the power of music to fight. Then I later found out about the games which doesn't really have anything to do with the series except for Sonic. It's fun knowing other people remember this show, too.
